Hello,

I've read posts from time to time but have never posted before. After finding out last week that I did not pass the Bar, I've just been feeling low.

It is so cool that you went to law school! You should totally celebrate that accomplishment! I worked in a law office for several years and really wish I had gone, and you did, so good for you!

I have a couple of things to say. First, I truly, deeply believe that being in a "successful" relationship has nothing to do with looks! Truly. There are many supposedly "good looking" women who may be married to good looking guys but are miserable. Research tells us it is NOT looks that matter. Tell yourself that over and over again. I think what does matter is really being YOURSELF, loving who that is, putting yourself in lots of situations to meet people, keep loving YOURSELF even if you meet with heartache or rejection, and then be patient and it will come. I have a friend who went to law school in fact, got a great job in NYC and worked and worked and enjoyed it and then when she was around 34 met a great guy and got married. She is a wonderful person but not "attractive" in the way that a superficial male might want. But she always loved herself, quietly and patiently waited, and she met a man who loves her for who she is. By the way, I don't mean BEAUTY doesn't matter. I said LOOKS don't matter. I see so many women who may be visually appealing, but true beauty does not seem to have much to do with how someone appears. A mature, honest, real person realizes that and lives their life accordingly.

So I would say find something you really want to do in the next few months while preparing to retake the bar.
