Jackie here - living SW of Pgh PA with my DH of two years.
ROFLOL....on the dh remark...lol.
I tend to volunteer from home when I can.
I'd love to learn to knit - the finished product seems to me to be softer than with something that's crocheted, and it uses less yarn.
I live with several chronic illnesses: fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, diverticulosis, hypothyroidism and lichen sclerosis. I also have heel spurs in both feet. I try my best not to let my illnesses get the best of me and rule my life. It can be difficult, but I do my best to live as normal a life as I can. Right now DH and I are living with my mother, but as we realize that we are overstaying our welcome, we're hoping to move out and get an apartment in the next year or so.
I always try to stay busy and I have a lot of hobbies and interests. I am a Pagan (have been one all my life), studying to become a Druid, so that takes up a lot of my time, especially since I am learning on my own and don't have a grove or a priest to help me. I love to write and read, I'm a belly dancer and a beader. I love to cook and travel, listen to music, watch movies and attend Renaissance faires (and yes, we attend them in costume). As for collecting, I collect Tarot cards, cheetahs, unicorns and stuffed animals. DH would also say that I'm starting to collect tattoos, as I've gotten two in the past two years and have several more planned. I am also a huge animal lover and have two cats, Billy and Blackie, though I've many different kinds of pets in the past.
