Update

I am handing you one of my favorite flowers. It's called a Toad Lily. They are small lilies that bloom in the fall, in gorgeous shades of purple and white with touches of gold or red or even blue. Some are stripped and some are spotted(like a toad). All spring and summer they grow slowly on spotted or stripped leaves then burst forth just when everything else is dying back.

Why a Toad Lily? The flowers are fragile looking and the leaves are delicate but they can survive the early snows we get New England and even the occasional fall hurricane....just like you. You feel fragile right now and you are but you have a strength underneath that can survive the storms of life. You will survive and I am sending my prayers to Leo that he will too. In his honor, I shall name one of my Toad Lilies...Leo Lily! And he will grow and spread his beauty forever in my garden.
