Can you be allergic to your house?

Help! I have NO allergies at all. We just moved into our new house about 2 months ago. Ever since I am having terrible problems with my eyes. They are red and dry all around my eye. I wake up in the morning and they are puffy and swollen. Could there be something in my new house that could be bothering me? My family seems to be sympton free. Anyone encounter this before?

Since the house is the one thing that has changed in your environment, I would guess that is the problem. I'm no expert so I don't know for sure but it seems logical.

I agree with Cally, perhaps you should make an appt with an allergist.

I agree! You can definitely be allergic to your house! My husband has had severe allergies since he was small and still has scars from the severe Eczema he had and still occasionally gets. We had our first child 15 mo. ago and I was so nervous that he would have the same problems. So I did a lot of research and I came across a company that sells safe non-toxic cleaning supplies and personal products...what a difference it has made! I'm sure there are several companies out there that have products like this - I never realized just how dangerous some of the stuff I was using was!
