I got another puppy!

Well, I succumbed again.  I have a new boxer puppy.  I wasn’t planning on a third dog, but I do temporary fostering for Northeaster Boxer Rescue.  I got this female boxer puppy on Monday to keep for about a week until they finished their approval process on a home for her.  They had several homes in mind.  She had just been spayed and was recuperating with me.  OMG!  I so fell in love with her.  She’s soooo skinny and sweet natured.  She fits in so well with the dogs and all of us.  When they said a family was approved I got all upset and couldn’t sleep.  I was reviewing the guy’s application and kept thinking, “I don’t want him to have her, he is not right for her and I’m the only one who right for her".  That applicaton fell through because they wanted the rescue to hold her until July.  They don’t hold dogs, so they were going to work on the next applicant.  The rescue noticed I was getting all attached to her and told me fosters have first dibs on the dogs.  So, lo & behold, it didn’t take much to convince DH because he was all smitten with her too.  Everybody just loves her and so do my dogs!  She is so easy and has the cutest boxer wiggle when she sees you.  I’m naming her Belle as in Beauty and the Beast.  So we have Bailey the Beagle, Brutus and Belle the Boxers; the “B Team”!  Brutus is so big, handsome and muscle-y they make a good Beauty and the Beast pair.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

She came from a puppy store who was going to euthanize her because she was losing her hair.  She was all stressed and broke out in a rash from the stress.  Stupid people didn’t know it was treatable, all they cared about was they couldn’t sell her, so hey, just kill her.  The rescue got her, treated her and she is fine.  She doesn’t like to be alone, she’s very affectionate and social, so my house is perfect for her. There are always people or dogs here.   She doesn’t even have to be put in a crate when I leave.  As long as she’s with Bailey or Brutus she’s happy and doesn’t get into things.

I've attached her picture, she is even cuter in real life.  Look at those cute ears~!  They normally flop down, but when she puts her head back they stand right up.

I'm sorry it's taking me so long to respond to your readings and dreams.  I've been so busy with her and many other things.  DS moved out this week, so it was hectic, but now should be calm.

She is absolutely just beautiful. We have 4 dogs ourselves with 2 adopted and another that a friends of ours found she no longer wanted after purchasing her so being a big dog family we took her in. My DH surprised me on July 4, 2003 with a chihuahua for my upcoming birthday, which I named him bruiser with being colored like a bruise and with his attempt at being a big dog all the time. LOL Just gotta love dogs.

I have a pomeranian named Mini Meme not named by us, but the person we got her from and she is a toy size that is just a little fat rond ball when you see her all soaking wet after having a bath. LOL A corgi named Ruby Doo who is a female we adopted and Bruiser is a male chihuahua that I got for my birthday last year from my husband after my best friend my terrier mix passed away the year before. We had a pitbull who was a big huge baby who thought she was a lap dog, but she was also very old and passed away. Sad to say our black lab/rotti mix he was the alpha dog of the group, but unfortunately he just passed away as of this afternoon from his being very old as well. My oldest son 3 is heart broken over it and we have talked about getting a pure rotti male dog since we do like to have at least one large size dog at all times so we will be doing our searching for one that meets our approval. Now I have to say that the alpha dog will be either Ruby Doo or Bruiser since they both have similar personalities, but Bruiser sure does like to think he runs the show all the time. hehehe

Oh, they all get along very well and we have not had to much trouble with them not getting along other than Bruiser and Mini Meme getting into it every once in a while. Mini Meme is a very easy going dog and only gets upset if Bruiser tries to lay in her spot as he at times does. So that is my huge dog family, which it appears we will be adding a new member to the family when we come across what we are looking for. Take care and do have a great day!
