My DH and I are Red Sox fans too. We were bouncing off the walls when the Sox won the World Series last night. Even though we currently live in Central Pa, we used to live in Cambridge, MA (I worked in Boston for 10 years)and you just HAVE to be a Sox fan when you live up there. lol I think it's required for residency!! :) Anyway....we're enjoying the victory.

Although I am born and bred here I have not been to the Golden Temple in Brookline. What type of restaurant is it? I went to Emmananuel College, near Fenway and it was right down the street from Brookline. I was at school during the '86 series and disappointment so I am glad to finally see them win! Now its on to the Pats! I only live about 15 mins from Foxboro stadium.

Hi and happy Monday,

I've never been to the Golden Temple Restaurant in Brookline but I worked very near there. I worked at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital on Brookline Ave. It is only a few blocks from Fenway Park. The restaurant sounds like it is a good place to eat. We very rarely get up to Boston but I'll keep that restaurant in mind if and when we do make the trip.

I think you mentioned something about Chestnut Hill. Two of my very good friends work at the Skin Care Physicans Center in Chestnut Hill. In fact, those friends and I meeting up in New York (about half way or all of us) the weekend of Nov. 12-13. One of those friends is very spiritual and has very similar beliefs as I do. Just goes to show how small the world really is. Has anyone from this site met in person. Could be something to keep in mind - could be very fun.

DH and I know very well how expensive realestate is in the Boston area. That was the main reason we moved to PA. Up there could only afford a very small 'fixer-upper'. Here we have a new ranch home with 4-1/2 acres of land for about the same amount money.

Take care.

Hi again,

We are planning to go to a nice dinner or two and, of course, have a few glasses of wine and talk 'til we drop. We haven't seen each other in 3 years so it should be lots of fun.

Originally, we planned to meet up in Tarrytown (home of Sleepy Hollow) and tour some old castles and a few museums but we couldn't get hotel rooms there so we're meeting in Spring Valley, NY. I'm sure we'll find something to do.

Yes, attending an interesting seminar would be a fun way to meet.
