Here's a meditative exercise...

Try it if you like. :D

I don't think this mindfulness exercise is supposed to have dietary implications, but, hey, whatever works, eh? :D I like it because suddenly life has brilliant colors, wonderful smells, my skin feels different, I am fresh & alive, reborn in a way, because I have tuned back into the world surrounding me. Instead of living life only from the neck up, KWIM? :P In a Zen temple that I belonged to years ago, we would have all day meditations periodically. We would do sitting meditation. Walking meditation. Hear a Dharma Talk from the Roshi. Eat our meals in silence and mindfulness, either serving the meal or being serviced, seeing each person before us in detail, tasting each morsel of the plain fare, doing chores around the zendo in silent mindfulness, how we swept the sidewalk, walked to the post office and bought stamps for the zendo's use, went to a grocery store to buy toilet paper. Each activity, each act was done with our full attention. I felt so "expanded" after one of these special days. Awesome! :D This little exercise helps create that tool in everyday life. Great tool! :P Glad you liked it! :)
