Great Chat Last Night!

We had a really nice chat last night. A new poster joined us and shared her ways of celebrating Christmas. She is a "foster nanny" to several kids and they celebrate Jesus' birthday on Christmas. They have a party and a cake. Everyone contributes their feelings or prayers and each child is very proud of themselves with their contribution. Another nice thing she does with her kids is to have a "Talking Chair" (not sure if I remembered the name of it correctly). If anyone is having a problem dealing with something, they can sit in the chair and talk it out. No one is allowed to interrupt and they can say what ever they want. I like that idea very much. It helps when there is an important issue at hand and they are hesitant to talk about it. Just sit in the chair.
Dustbunny, thanks for coming. You always have such enlightening words of wisdom and I have started reading the "Conversations With God" series. I will be posting things I learn as I progress through the series. Thanks for recommending these books.
