Ways that God Communicates With Us
Find a Conversation

In what forms do your messages from God come? When we pray or ask for answers from our higher power or our Spirit Guides, do we look for them to come in words? If you open up your mind to receive these messages in different ways, you may be surprised at how often they speak to us. This is from the first in the series of "Conversations with God", and I want to share because it makes sense to me.
Words are limiting. God can communicate to you through feeling, "Feelings are the language of the soul". If you want to know what's true for you about something, look to how you're feeling about it. Hidden in your deepest feelings is your highest truth. Feelings are sometimes hard to figure out and it takes some searching to get to your true feelings.
Here are other ways God communicates to us:
Thought (different from feelings)
Experience
Our senses ~ smell, taste, touch, sound, sight
Has anyone recognized the way God has communicated to them? Or how their spirit guides have communicated to them?

Hi, Amy! :) Welcome to the board. I have a question. Is "Unity Christian" the same as "Unitarian?" I like the idea of a religion in which you can gain a sense of community but still come to the table, "whole," meaning with your own insights and intuition and spiritual perspective. I've read that "Unitarian Universalist" churches are like this. Is yours? I am a Solitary Wiccan, so I do not have a community membership anywhere, except maybe online on Pagan boards.
Thanks,

I agree! I would also say that within each of us is the gift of Magic, with which we can effect and change our reality. I have experienced this, also, as well as an answer to prayers. It's a focus of inner energy and power directed outward and I do believe people do this all the time, without calling it "magic." :P I agree many times it's chalked up to "just coincidence" or luck, too. I don't believe in either of those. :D

I don't believe in coincidence either, and my favorite saying, practically my mantra, is "Create your own reality."
Hope you don't mind me jumping in here, but Unity and Unitarian are not the same organized church.
ITA! Well said! :D

Thank you so much! :) I had an "inkling" they weren't the same, but had never come across the subtle difference in terminology.
Will check out the link.

" It's more an inner knowing after "laying it all out there" in meditation or ritual, kind of thing. "
Very well said IMHO, something like infusion from spirit.

Hi Jillianmarie, Welcome!
Hi Amy, Welcome!
I'm so glad you like what you are seeing.
I agree with Amy, on disagreeing about the education philosophy, as well as a couple others brought up in Book II of C w/G.
