Reality and you

A while back we had a thread running about the interpretation of the phrase "Create your own reality."  This morning at Unity I heard a much more descriptive phrase for my personal interpretation:  Evoke your own reality.  The word "evoke" brings the community and my interaction with others in my world into the meaning.  "Create" can be a solo act.  Reality, can not.

When I interact with my world, my intentions evoke a response and I will interpret that response in accordance with what I expect to see.  In a quantum/metaphysical sense, I can change my reality by changing what I expect to see.

It was a real eye opener for me, and thought I'd share...

Barbara,

What a neat way to have that described to you.

Blessed Be!

I have just started out in Unity, having attended just two services so far.

I love Unity church. Now we are picking names out
of a bowl for people to pray for. We write our name,
things we like, address, email and prayer we would like.
It also connects you to the other person. I have not felt
close to my middle son/DIL. Have a new grandson. I
have realized, recently that I may owe him a second appology,
did not know if he was holding onto this. So prayers were
going out and for me to be a bigger part of their lives.
I changed my thoughts to love and
not feeling left out. I pictured us together in love with
light around us and kept fighting old thoughts. My 2 other sons
and i were invited yesterday to go for cake for my son's B'day.
I felt very comfortable, she was friendly, DIL said for me to go
upstairs while Todd was changing the baby. It dawned on me:
this was my moment from God to be alone to appologize. My son said it
was appreciated and he would forgive me. As we were getting into the car
Todd came out waving the sweater I knit for the baby with another
thank you. I felt free. we truely create with our thoughts.
I don't think we lose all our telepathy, thoughts are subconsciously felt.

I so agree with you Leila! Thoughts are energy afterall, and that energy must go somewhere. Even when we're not intuned enough to pick up on that energy consciously, I believe our subconscious does feel it.
