Full Moon Experiment

Hey!
I got something that I think would be fun to do. I read in my local paper that a group of scientists say the full moon does not affect a persons' emotions. I DO NOT believe this! I have seen too many coincidences to agree with them.
Example: Working in retail, I saw the changes in people around the full moon. More people see a doctor and have less patience. Some of my worse days were around full moons. We used to have a chart in the back of the pharmacy of the phases so that we could prepare ourselves for those days with a bit more patience.
Other Example: The way people drive! I see so many close calls on the road! People pulling out in front of others and major road rage!
What I thought would be fun was to journal the moon phases. The new moon is coming and it would be interesting to read what others experienced. Your own emotions, emotions of your loved ones and strangers, and any interesting experiences you had.
What we could do is journal on our own and after the full moon, everyone post about your own thoughts and feelings and experiences. I thought this would be a fun exercise for people learning about journaling too. Maybe your intuitive senses will be stronger at certain times and physically there may be changes that set off a pattern.
Anyone interested?

What??? The full moon not affect people? My Dad is in law enforcement and would highly disagree.
Journaling huh? Might be interesting. I notice the difference through my hormonal cycle, but I've never paid attention to the moon. I usually don't even know what phase it's in.
I'd certainly be interested in taking part. I've just checked my diary and here in the UK the new moon will be Thursday. Not sure if that coincides with US but that doesn't really matter.
I have recently noticed too that people seem to change around the time of a full moon but have not fully analysed this so I think it would be exciting to do so. Count me in ;-)
I definitely believe in the cycles. From the sounds of it

I totally agree!
I know sometimes I don't really pay attention to what is around me. Even if we all do believe moon phases have an effect on our emotions, I think we could learn more about when and how and maybe find out somethings about ourselves we didn't know.
I think the best way to do it is through the scales you mentioned and writing down things that stick out to you. If anyone wants, really get into analyzing problems when they arise or, if that is too much work(I know we are all busy!). Just jot down emotions, etc... The most important days are the moon phases...espescially the day before, of and after the full moon.
We can just keep this thread open and write each day our main emotion, then on the main days, get a bit more into our feelings. When odd things happen, just write a quick message. After the full moon, we all can start analyzing what we feel and think about what we experienced.
I think it would be a great way to get to know each other in a different way!
Dustbunny, I worked in a pharmacy for 12 years. I was a tech too but worked for a chain and trained interns and techs on the computers and scheduled and supervised for our district. I miss it, but it was a tough job....our average prescription total per day per store was 550. I used to love it until all the HMO insurance and crap came around and they started with the formularies, caps on benefits, etc...., then it was just all stress all the time!
The new moon starts on Thursday. Does everyone agree to begin then?

The Moon effects the Ocean.....we've know that for years.
I've recently seen on TV a program that proved (by Vulcanologists)that the moon also effects Volcanos.
If the Moon can effect these things then why not us?
Yea I totally believe in the Full Moon affects. I know what has happened in my life from the Moon. What wacky scientists - I think they need to reconduct their experiment.
Thanks

I agree with your Dad.
This is a good idea!
