"Will Religion Complete the Women's Movement?
Author and activist Helen LaKelly Hunt says feminism must listen to the needs and opinions of women of faith.
Interviewed by Amy Cunningham
....I feel that faith and feminism have a deep relationship to each other and that both are responses to the deep human yearning for connection and for peace on earth, and that they both have a vision of universal human equity. What this book is encouraging is a more intentional dialogue between faith and feminism because they in fact need each other to complete their respective missions.

Interesting article. I know one of the reasons I sought and found a spiritual path that acknowledges the Sacred Feminine in the Goddess, was because of feeling exluded and disinfranchised by patriarchal religions I has tried.

I've just registered for a one day seminar called "A Date with Sophia."
Please do tell us how it goes! I'd love to hear. :))

Hey Bink.
The seminar sounds great. I was raised with the belief of a male God. I however never really felt that way. However that didn't mean that I saw God/dess as strictly feminine. I always saw it as both. I have been studying Paganism recently. There is much talk of the "Goddess." I was perplexed. How I have handled it is I meditate and pray to God/dess as One. At times I draw from the masculine or feminine aspects depending on what I am dealing with. More times than not it is a combo...lol. Seems to be working for me. Ultimately I see God/dess as a part of me...just help me uncover the hidden parts. In the past I had a really difficult time dealing with just masculine alone, feeling like it lacked the feminine. I think we need both!
