For those of you who practice alternative religion....like wicca, paganism, voodoo, hoodoo, etc., where do you buy your supplies for your rituals, altars, etc.

I have been scouring the internet for better prices on hoodoo stuff, and have only one place that satisfies me.  Better yet, even though I live in a major metro area (Chicago) I can't find a brick and mortar store here to save my soul!  Thank goodness I am off to NOLA soon....I can stock up.

Any suggestions for finding retail?

Hi Shyla. I am lucky and have several shops in my area (Lower Michigan). You might want to post the question over on the Pagan Paths page. People have mentioned great web shops. I don't think I have ever seen you over there...You should check it out! They have chat on Monday nights...crazy fun! Here's the link to the board:

Oops! Somehow missed the hoodoo mention...lol. Does hoodoo fall under Santeria, or Vodoun? I know very little about it and have never heard that term.

Hi Shyla:)

Thank you for posting the site. A lot of info on there. I have to say that chatting with my friend about Santeria was quite humbling:( I realized that I had closed myself off from learning about that faith somehow....like it was somewhat dark. This coming from someone who I would say is pretty much falling under the Wicca path (although I am with Ginger Cookie on not wanting to label myself). As we know & I have run across...a lot of people have preconceived and inaccurate notions about Wicca. So...I should know better:( Through the talks with her and a book she
