Do you have regrets?

I try not to.  I think that if you regret the past...then you can't accept who you are now.  Regret is not worth the energy of hashing over.  If it weren't for the mistakes we have made, we wouldn't be "us"now.  And I think that I am who I am for reasons I will never understand, but shouldn't question.

Do you all have regrets?

Cara my daughter turned 19 at the beginning of this month and I had to laugh when I read your further description of your son because that could be my daughter in a male disguise lol.

She too got in with the 'wild bunch' for a while but fortunately grew out of them when she started dating and has since admitted that they were not good for her. We felt for ages that she had ADD but could not get a diagnosis. A teacher at the school my daughter attended told us that we never would because there were no facilities for girls in our area though I did attend a support group for parents of children with ADD/ADHD for a while and I remember a father going down to London to get a diagnosis for himself with the only doctor in England who diagnosed anyone over the age of 16!!!! This was several years ago and so things may have improved since then but unfortunately in this country we have a history of denial when it comes to things of this nature so I wouldn't bet on it.

The only thing I have had is a feeling at times that they are close. But thank you, I think I will ask for a sign on the day that they are there with me and I too am sure they will be in spirit :-)

Carol, can you try visualizing your father (or your sister) and telling him the things you want him to know?

Thank you Barbara. I have been told that when I am sad my dad is there holding my hand and that is very comforting but I never thought to write him a letter before and I think that would be a wonderful idea and one I will definiteley do soon and to my sister too :-)

Ladybug, I really like the idea of writing a letter, I don't know why I never thought to do that.
