James Van Praagh books...

I haven't read Sylvia Browne but when I checked the library catalog, all her books are checked out...she's in demand here. I have read James Van Praagh's Heaven and Earth...it was fascinating...and I had the strangest, most vivid dreams while I was immersed in it.
I had one dream in which I had a conversation with my sister...today is her birthday, she would have been 60 today. She has been gone for 18 years now. Sometimes I think about contacting her, but I am afraid. I actually think she has tried to contact me, but I'm not certain.
At first I thought Mr. Van Praagh was a fraud but now I think he's the real deal...has anyone seen him speak? What did you think?

I haven't seen James but I would certainly love to. I don't believe he is a fraud one bit. My friend loaned me a biographical movie about him. He was just your ordinary joe until later in life when he realized he had special abilities and he could do good things with them. Before that he had a very hard time accepting it, pretty much denied it all and tried to put it away out of his life. Good luck with your spiritual journey.

Hi Stefanie...thanks for the info on JVP...I think my sister contacts me through dreams because she knows that it's a more acceptable vehicle...I recall upon waking, that I truly did speak to her...doesn't happen often but when it does, it's pretty intense...I'd freak if I ever had the types of visions that JVP describes in his book!
I'm reading a Sylvia Browne book now, one about past lives...very interesting stuff...I've also read all the Seth books when I was in college...it was the kind of thing my little group of friends did back then...we all explored spirituality to the max, then forgot about it after we married and started our families...too busy I guess.
Now I'm in a place to concentrate on spirituality again...my children are older now and it's time for me to have my life back again....good luck to you in your journey too.
Ah, I understand about raising children...my older dd sings in the church choir now...and I must confess that during the homily (in a Catholic mass), my mind frequently wanders all over the place...I'm so unaccustomed to just sitting and not having to shush kids, take them to the bathroom, slip them pieces of drawing paper, etc., LOL.
The Seth books...I read them so long ago, it's been 20 years at least...but I think the author's name is Jane Roberts, she is a medium and Seth is the spiritual mentor who writes through her. I think there's three, maybe four of these books, they are dense, not light reading at all but very intriguing all the same. There's a lot in them about evolution of the human race, alternate reality, parallel lives, reincarnation of the soul...they can really broaden your entire perspective on spiritual matters...
Here is the link to his website (calendar of events).
There's a Bermuda Triangle cruise on June 8-15 with JVP and Brian Weiss.
