QOTW-When you disagree with "justice"...

The trial is finally over...  Michael Jackson is not guilty on all counts.  Another trial was over a few months ago:  Robert Blake was not guilty on all counts.  Scott Peterson will stay in jail.  Martha Stewart is still tethered.  These high profile trials put the US Justice system in the spotlight.  Jurors write books.  Lawyers get rich.

What do you think about justice in your country?

Yep, you remember it right. That was one of the more difficult parts for me to accept, but it did ring very true. The idea, as I took it, was that God experiences Life through us. Our purpose is to experience the physical aspects of Life that God cannot, but God is pure spirit. What WE (humans) view as negative, God only views as another aspect of what is. And that 'negative' has to be in order for the 'positive' to exist, just as we have no concept of light without darkness or quiet without noise. There must be both sides of the issue for us to have anything to compare. But (according to the books) the idea of one being more desireable than the other is a human preference, not God's.

There was a front page story in this morning's paper about a molester who abused boys across the country. He documented 38,000 counts of sex with minors...this guy kept notebooks detailing his lewd behavior, and he filed the boys under type of sex act...the police had confiscated all this notebooks and were in the process of going through them...horrible...

How does someone manage to evade the authorities for so long and in so many states???

Ya know...I did wonder about the parents who allowed their kids to spend the night at MJ's house...what were they thinking? How could they have thought it was innocent?

Yes I remember that bit in the books as well. It is a very difficult concept to get your head around emotionally. Of course there was also the bit about how in highly evolved societies there is no need for laws and justice because everyone disciplines themselves and things like incest or pedophilia don't exist. The impression I got was that whilst God is not making choices about what is good and what is bad, each person is in the process of evolving into the next highest being they can be and that whilst God was experiencing through us, before hurting others in any way a person should consider what love would do. Of course this opens up a whole new debate as obviously pedophiles don't give any consideration to the feelings of their victims or the effects their actions will have on their lives.

From what I could gather, the mom in this case had tried other manuevers to get money.
