Double Blessings!!!
| Wed, 07-06-2005 - 6:56am |
I posted a few weeks ago about my daughter's pregnancy, well this morning she has been for her first scan at the hospital and has been told she is having twins!!!!
At the moment I am trying to get past the shock and wondering how we are going to manage. I know that in the end we will but practicalities are a bit overwhelming at the moment. DD wanted to return to work but not sure it is going to be possible now not without the father's support and although he is quite a bit older than her seems very immature and doesn't want his life (and freedom) to be altered.
I'm happy that we are receiving a double blessing, just having a little trouble letting go and letting God with this one.

What wonderful news!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Carol, dd, family,
Congratz on this news. I'm also a twin, fraternal twin, sister. I'm not sure what to say about the father of the twins. Thank you.
Thank you to everyone for their congratulations, the shock is starting to wear off now and we are all starting to look forward to it a bit more. The father seems to be getting his act together too which is good and has started to realise that he needs to step up. Financially he was always going to support dd but now he is acting more mature about emotional and mental support and hopefully will do his bit to care for the twins when they arrive.
Bink - we do track down fathers in this country ;) we even have a government agency that does it specially for us. Mothers that work can sort it out with the father and agree a rate or go through the agency if they want to or need to. Anyone that doesn't pay up voluntarily has the money stopped directly from their wages. Anyone on social security the social security agency will automatically make a claim against the father though in those circumstances the money doesn't go to the mother but the government as the government keeps the mother and child(ren). Mothers in this country can live off the state until the child(ren) leave school etc if they are not supported by their ex, and receive free health care, housing etc and you would not believe what they can claim for including disposible diapers, clothing allowances, even help with buying prams etc and all without even contributing so a girl of 16 can have a baby and live off the state for most if not all of her life. Whilst this is a good system for those in need it is open to abuse.
