X-Files? Stargate? Area 51? Roswell? American television and media have been romancing the UFO possibility for many years. The UK had a well-documented incident outside an airfield a few years ago. Thousands saw the saucer over Mexico City.
Do you think we are being visited by beings from another world? Do you believe in beings and other worlds? Or is the US military going to spring another high tech plane on us (like the Stealth F117, which looks like a triangular UFO and was responsible for thousands of UFO sighting reports in the 10 years they secretly tested it.) What's up there?

Well...I don't know about UFOs but if aliens came to visit us, how else would they get here? Beam down? Psychic travel? Perhaps they came and just observed? It's an exciting possibility! Sometimes I think that aliens would be crazy to show themselves because we just haven't evolved to the point where we could accept it...and to the point that we could communicate without fear, or worse, starting a war.
Lots of books have been written on the subject, that's for sure. The first book I ever read was Stranger in a Strange Land, Robert Heinlein's masterful story of how we exploited an alien who came to us in good faith. Really opened my eyes and made me think about space and what might be out there.
Conversely, I just finished The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell, a riveting story of a Jesuit priest who goes out to meet life on another planet with shocking consequences. Russell's hypothesis is that there is more than one race out there, and they are at different levels of evolution. In her world, humans aren't the highest or the lowest, we're somewhere in the middle of the scale...now there's something to think about.
The movie that most closely matches my fantasy of what aliens would be like is Close Encounters...I love the idea that we might communicate with other life forms through music...and that the aliens would be gentle...what worries me is, would we be kind too?
I do believe there is other life out there. Perhaps we're not yet evolved enough to be able to identify and contact these other beings. Makes yah go hmmm, doesn't it ....

AS ABOVE, SO BELOW!
pollution, animals eating stored grains and taking antibiotics,
mercury, waste being dumped. I work with a lady who lives in RI.
She said she has a town fee for rubbish to be dumped in the bay.
I'd be livid. Our 6th sense will have to be on the other side. (:- )
People also are so unaware of what they are eating, even
the medical folks. Blows my mind.
There are always miracles. Love, Leila

with consciousness and growth, if we were more advanced
I think we would be helping other planets. We don't have that
"love" part developed. WE are all one, we just like to think not.
My thoughts and thanks you for yours.
