please stay indoors and stay cool!  Man!  In all my years on the planet, I don't recall such heavy humidity!  In central NC, it's already feels like the high 90s, and it's only 9 a.m.

What's the temp in your area?  What do you do to stay cool?

It's 85 and really humid, there is a heat advisory in effect here so the temp will be rising.

I absolutely feel for you! I live in Florida, so heat and humidity is constant here from April until October. We've actually been hitting some record highs lately too. Although the atmosphere is more tropical here so humidity usually keeps our temps in the low 90's, the last few days it's been drier so it's hit about 96 with a heat index of 110.
I get my stuff done early in the morning or at night in the summers, unless I'm going to the beach. The middle of the day I vedge out in the a/c!
DEFINITELY BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!!! I have seen too many people get heat stroke in my life. My husband is a supervisor for a construction company and at the very least he takes one of his workers to the hospital because of heat stroke a year!
Stay Cool!

It's only been in the high 70s/low 80s here on California's central coast, and none of the oppressive humidity. Very comfortable actually. We HAVE been spending a lot of time at the pool lately, but that's more to encourage my kids to practice swimming.

I'm from the Carolina's also. It's already 100 degrees here. I go out in the mornings and then spend the rest of the day inside close to the fans and with the a/c cranked up. When I do venture out, I make sure to drink plenty of fluids before, during and after my trips. I just got back from working out at the 'Y'. It wasn't bad inside, the place is air conditioned, but I about died on the way home!

I also drive an older car, so I make sure all my fluids are topped, especially coolant and oil. Luckily all my cats are indoors, I can't imagine keeping a pet out in this!

stay cool everyone!

Not a problem here in the UK at the moment. We're having a bit of a cool spell (nothing unusual for our summers) low 60s I'd say. Tonight we're supposed to be getting torrential rain that is coming across Europe and is going to last at least through the next 2 days!

Not very keen on the rain I have to say, but think I prefer it to humid heat, I tend to wilt and no one here has a/c at home and not many other buildings have it either, it would be a complete waste of money for the amount of time it would be used!
