*waving* Good Monday Morning Cee and everyone! :-) In pagan circles August 1st is a special day, the midpoint between Summer Solstice and the Autumnal Equinox. The days are getting noticeably shorter now and it's time to get serious about harvesting.

Wishing everyone much happiness and sunshine in these last days of summer! :-)

Thank you for the lovely greeting! ;)) It's been a lovely day so far... My dog & I just returned from a glorious walk in the sunshine, around a neighborhood of green trees, flowers, and a nice breeze wafting the great smells of honeysuckle, roses and seeing rainbows arced in the sprinklers on the lawns along the way. :D Ahhhhh...

The phrase, "dog days of summer" kept running through my head, LOL! :P Here's a link to what Googling came up with:

Hello!

It's been very stormy here this weekend! Hopefully this week will be a little better. I 'almost' wish the hundred degree heat was back, because at least it was dry! It's lower temps this week, but the humidity is really tiring!

I just got back from the 'Y'. This month I decided to really work on getting my body healthy. Mostly by working out, and balancing physical fitness and spiritual fitness, I really believe they go hand in hand.

I hope everyone had a great weekend, and I really hope you all have a good week and month!

Hello everyone! Happy Lammas everyone! It is now the end of Summer (ha ha! ya, right! ;-)) and the beginning of fall. Lets hope that it cools off a bit and that we can get some rain here in Oklahoma. Our grass and pasture are dying and the pond got so low that all the fish died. My garden is starting to wilt even with the watering at night. Come on Rain!!

It was a pretty uneventfull day for me, came to work, and now here in about 20 minutes I finally get to go to the store and head home. Yay! ;-) Grocery shopping is one of those "most-hated" things on my list, right up there with folding the laundry, ha!

Hope that everyone had a wonderful Monday and thanks for the Well Wishes, Cee!

Up until recently, grocery shopping was drudgery to me, too! :D I'd procrastinate 'til the cubboards and fridge were pretty bare. Recently some health issues convinced me to look more closely at the quality of the foods we were consuming... I'm now a twice a week shopper at Trader Joe's because I LOVE the quality of their foods, the organic selection, and the food is so tasty and healthy, I can just FEEL the nourishment soak into my body. ;) Now, about the laundry or scrubbing the bathroom...YUCKOS! LOL! :P Ain't no satisfaction there. ;) Gypsy

I hate the grocery shopping too. It's a recent thing for me but lately it has become such a drag. I don't work Thursdays so I can go then and take my time when it is relatively quiet but I find that if I do that the dates on the food aren't long enough to last all week. Friday I can go after work but but all I really want to do is get home and chill with a glass of wine, not trudge around the grocery store when its packed and seems to take twice as long. If I leave it to the weekend then I feel like its cutting into MY time.

Also I get really irritated by the fact that I have to take all the things off the shelf pack them in my trolley, unpack them to put them through the checkout, pack them into bags and then pack the trolley with them, unpack them to put them in the car and then unpack the car of all the bags and pack everything away when I get home. And what really finishes it off for me is if I can't manage to park in front of my own house as I don't have a drive way when I have to struggle in with all the bags AAARRRGGGHHH!!!

It just gets me so mad all this packing and unpacking business!!!

Right I've blown off steam now, HAPPY FIRST AUGUST MONDAY EVERYONE.
