You've probably seen it. It's a "hot topic". Should a 22 year old be charged with assault on his 13 year old wife, since her parents gave permission for the union? http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-prhttaoce's This is one of those instances that it's between the family. Only the persons involved have to live with the fallout, whatever it is! Although, many of our ancestors married the same way. Whose to say modern times are better??
Any opinions on this??

That was one of the first questions on the new iVillage boards
Ginger,
The board's under the Pregnancy and Parenting section and the board's called
152.6&n
If someone else got her pregnant and she knows who it was, he should have to take part in this whole thing somehow as well. If that's the case, I can sort of see how Koso might want to help her out by marrying her.
Thanks Cee!
Well, I have a problem with a 22yo being with a 13yo. They SHOULD be at totally different stages in their lives. She's in junior high for crying out loud! BUT... assault? Nope. Sorry. If it's consensual, regardless of age, it's not assault. And the fact that they're now married makes it even less so.
