QOTW 9/4 - Quantum thought

I recently received the DVD of "What the Bleep Do We Know?" as a gift.  If you haven't seen it yet, you are missing a great spiritual and mental journey!

One of the first of many theories presented is that we have been conditioned to believe that the external world is more "real" than the internal world.  Quantum thought says that the opposite is true, that the internal world of possible thought and experience is in fact, "real" and we only see what the internal world allows us to see in the external world.

Deep, I know...   But what do you think?

I agree, I have to see it. I had forgotten it exists.
thanks for reminding me. Oh, the youger man I was writing to:
I met him even tho I knew he had mega problems being from
an alcoholic family. I was curious. he is a very nice man but needing
lots of therapy. He has poor dentistry, yellow crooked teeth, wore mocasins,
fur lined like ya wear in the house in the winter. It drains my energy being
around that. Had to fill ya in. love, Leila

Sounds perfectly logical to me; our perception is our reality.

If this is true, much of the world is on the wrong track.

A veil of forgetfulness has been placed on us at birth. The physical world is but a manifestation of our thoughts, from both here and there. It is the 'Ultimate Illusion'. You actually die when you are born and are brought to 'life' when you die. The earth is a dark negative of heaven, heaven is the 'real' picture. Wild, I know...so much to learn. Our reality is indeed our perception, that's why so many differing opinions, that's why so many different ways to look at things, and also ways to 'fix' them. If you could have all of the people of the earth pray at the same time, imagine what could either be prevented, or we could 'make' happen.

Leila, I'm so sorry it was not what was hoped for. All in God's time, hang in there! I can so relate...the 'bad dentistry', what a wonderfully polite way of putting it...lol

I know I hear selectively and am blind to truths right in front of me. Reality is created by my mind, my slant on what the world is. I create reality with my senses, without intention. Think of what my mind can do with positive affirmations, visualizations and thoughts projected with intention.

I find the concept difficult to integrate into everyday living because of lack of self-trust, fear of failure, lack of conviction, fear of getting what I want, not feeling as if I deserve. But the more I integrate the thought of intention, the closer I believe these capabilites are, which allows me a glimpse at a universal truth waiting for exploration. This is a gift I under utilize and how exciting is it to think how much more I can tap into with intention.

peace

Hi Betsy, I must say I knew he had problems, I wan't hoping for anything,
just curiosity. i knew he was emotionally needy and my purpose in his life
was to get him a good therapist, if he ever calls her.
Is it a real dichotomy in life that what we think is important isn't, etc
so may oposites and so many people who have no awareness of this. It is so weird that
this truely is an illusion, I believe it yet get caught up in the world stuff at times.

Your post relates to my belief that the natural state of our being is spirit, and the physical manifestation is a stop along the "real" path.

Leila, I was thinking the same thing before I even scrolled down. And it's easy to get caught up in the physical, especially if I don't meditate on a regular basis. Most of the time I can keep myself in check but then there are those times when my temper flies...over dumb stuff too. I guess we have to consciously work at it to remember.
Someone once said...'nevertake anything personal', and 'think of the worst possible outcome and deal with it accordingly in your mind, it won't be so bad because you've already thought it through and survived', 'in a hundred years from now it won't even matter'. I think these thoughts when life doesn't go the way I want it to go. They do help, but sometimes they don't, at least at that particular time and I end up feeling like you know what in the end. What can ya do...do your best and move on. Life's work and that's all there is to it.
I'm glad you were able to help him though, you lead the horse to water...he has to take it from there. Does he still call or email?

I don't think he wants to give up on the E-mailing, I don't
want him to get dependent on me, seems to be his patten.

I really need to meditate. after reading Bink, I made sure I went
up to my loft to pray with the candles on and spoke with real feeling
to the universe, the guides, God, my reiki guides anything who will listen.
for the thoughts to go out, I decided to go back to the way I used to pray,
giving it more time and direction. It felt good. One kitten was fascinated by the flames
but was very good to keep a distance. i then check out the angel cards, tarot cards.
The kittens got into my runes. I found one on the floor, I immediately looked it up,
had to have a meaning if the girls chose it for me (:- ) it was about new beginnings.
Love, Leila
