I'm not sure of the exact date that Autumn begins but I'm sure it's soon.

Do you think that your feelings change with the seasons? For instance people often feel happier when the sun is shining or more optimistic during the spring when everything is fresh and new.

Autumn is my favourite time of year. I love the colours and crispness of it. I love the fact that the nights are drawing in. I go around the house closing all the curtains as soon as it is dark and snuggle up on the sofa with the fire blazing, knowing I'm warm and safe. Although the autumn marks the end of summer I also think it is a time for new beginnings. At the moment I feel very restless and ready to make changes in my life and to start dealing with some issues that I've put off for far too long. Normally September marks the start of a new school year for me, which can naturally bring about changes but this year I don't have that so I think that it is time to start working on me and bring about those changes myself.

seasons affect me. I am trying not to let them as much as the past, I
say, I am happy each day to have it to live thru and will find beauty in each day.
Actually the winter has the best sunsets. I love spring, lilac are my favorite
flowers, everything turning green, knowing the days are getting longer and longer.
of course the weather is the pits, spring is not like in the past, it is cold
and rainy and we are always waiting for next week for summer to start.
It does start with humid days right after cold and we have to adjust. i like summer except
I turn a year older in the summer. I love sept. it is still summery but we get some relief
from the humids. Winter, although snow is pretty, I am alone more,
easier when in a relationship. I am
more creative, I have been making some neat cards selling at the veggie stand.
I watch more movies etc. I do like the changes. I think taking fish oil, I'll do better
in winter when i can tend to getting depressed. I don't expect to feel that way now.
I love my job, kittens, condo, friends, my spiritual stuff, Guides etc so what if it's winter.
One day at a time. autumn is a blaze of color, if the weather is right, and it is a relief from the heat.
It smells good, is crispy, crunchy, fun making applesce and pies and thinking about
what to wear for work for halloween to cheer up my patients. love, Leila

My favorite: I love the change in season from Winter to Spring; I just love exploring in my garden for signs of new life. I celebrate each little sprig of green I see pushing her way through the soggy brown dirt covered with little bits of winter's snowy blanket. I get so excited to see which plants have come back for another season.

I love late Summer - between mid August to mid-September because the days are long and hot and the nights are cool and crisp. Yum - best sleeping weather. I love Summer for all it's warmth, heat and the lushness it gives to all living things; the plants, the trees, the people. My dogs seem happier in Summer, life seems simpler and more relaxed, laid-back.

I love the Fall because it brings a sense of order after an easy going summer. School begins, schedules kick in; there's the closet cleaning and yard cleaning...basically just getting things in order and clearing out the rubbish from a season of playtime. I love the change in colors of our landscape, the wispy falling leaves, the trees and shrubs full with bright red berries. I love the crispness in the air, hiking in the woods with my H and breathing in the musty earthy smell. I love apple picking and pumpkin carving!

I love the winter because it gives me a chance to rejuvenate by baking and cooking up yummy stews and soups; cuddling with a good book, big wooly socks and a warm blanket. I love the smell of our wood burning stove and freshly baked "something". I love taking HOT showers on cold nights and cozying up to watch a movie with my dd's. I love waking to a soft spinkle of shimmering snow on the Earth outside my window, blanketing my gardens. I love walking my dogs, late at night after a newfallen snow has covered the roads. I love watching my little dogs tunnel through the snow in the yard, nipping at the snow-woman (yes, my dd's make snow-women instead of snowmen-lol). I love hanging a few lights up in celebration of the Yule season. I love the blast of icy air, the smell of it is so great (I air out my whole house once a week during the winter months to ward off colds and staleness).

So, I guess, I find a gift and blessing in every season.
