Spirit music and painting

We had a husband and wife team at Unity last week who travel the country in their camper spreading their healing light.  He is Will Tuttle, PhD (pianist, composer, educator, and Dharma Master in the Zen tradition) and she is Madeleine, an artist.  Among other talents, he creates impromptu piano music and she paints watercolors in private sessions with individuals.  The subject meditates and for 30 minutes, the creativity just happens.

I'm basically a skeptic by nature.  I'm the first one to run to snopes.com when I get a questionable e-mail to verify if it's true.  I had heard Will play, and seen Madeleine's art, and neither moved my spirit.  But I'm also curious by nature, so I signed up for a private session.

We began by holding hands in a circle and Will led a short meditation asking for clarity and compassion to flow.  I sat in a rocking chair and he settled in at the grand piano.  Madeleine was off to my right.  I was moved from the very first note.  I was drawn in and my spirit seemed to pull from my body and rush to all the people I love and embraced them.  I became air.  I became water.  I circled the globe flowing with peace and joy.  Tears rolled from my eyes, then laughter, as I soared and danced in a golden light.  I can't explain it...  Will caught the very essence of ME and put it on a CD.

When I first saw the painting, I was a bit amused, because it didn't seem to speak to me at all.  I noticed there were four instances of four items grouped: four evergreens, four rocks, another four rocks, and four tiers of branches on another evergreen.  She didn't know what the significance might be.  There was a beautiful purple, pink and blue sky and birds soaring high.  There was a stream flowing through the hills and ending in a pool.  I haven't figured it out yet, but they told me it would change over time, and it has.  At least my interpretation of it and the way I view it has changed.  (The skeptic in me knows the actual paint on the paper didn't change!)  I look at it every day and await some realization.

Jodi,

I hadn't thought of that.

Interesting, Unity has interesting people come to visit and to do the
services. Maybe he was the one to resonate with you. Maybe
she will resonate with someone else. I also feel skeptical about things.
We have no idea how spirit comes into our lives and others and how it
manifests. Love, Leila
