A bad dye job isn't a bad thing!

My friends and family know I'm somewhat "artistic"-- my words, not theirs.  It's little surprise when I change my hair color or hair style.  This time, however, the highlights I tried to place in my short, brown hair transformed my locks into something akin to a peacock!  I looked like my parakeet, Piccolo!  It seems like someone threw spotches of gold on top of my head!

I like change, but some changes don't sit well with me.  Years ago, too many chemicals took all my hair out!  It came out in clumps and I had not choice but to have it all cut off to the quick.  I wore a wig about a month, then I threw it away.  It was a sassy do I sported for a while.  It turned out, I was the only person who had to accept the change.  Once I got used to it, I was fine.

Sudden shifts (the ones I can and cannot control) throw me for a loop.   Arguements, my parents becoming ill, job challenges, starting college, empty nest stuff, a pet dying, all rocked my boat.  Time is a healer, because after the tears of frustration and disbelief,  I accepted all these things and eventually adapted.   Health challenges meant I need to care for myself better.  Losing a friend during a point of growth meant he (or she) needed more attention than I could give. Some changes hurt, but some are necessary for growth.  Opening my mind to positive thinking helps me a lot during transitions

As for my hair?  I picked up a neutral dark blonde and the color's toned down some.  After all these years, leaving my natural color alone is one thing I can't seem to change!

May any changes you have be positve ones!

My mother taught me at an early age that "it's just hair" and it almost always grows back.

"Change can be a trauma or it can be another adventure in your journey. "

I agree. About a month ago, I had my DD put streaks of emerald, lavender, pale yellow and aqua throughout my hair. I love it! ;)) I have wanted to do it for years. Some people think I'm nuts for doing it, but to heck with them! If I am enjoying it, that's what counts. Even DH, who had visions of stark orange or crimson hair (LOL!) likes it... :D

I also want a tattoo. Just above my wrist. The 3 moon phases as a symbol of the Goddess. Don't know if I'll do it, though. The bonier areas are the most painful... :-\

That would work, I always wonder when I see my patients
and their tatoos, How will they look in the future when the skin begins to drop?
People in the nursing home with tatoos, not in tact because of skin changes,
the heart that is a droopy heart etc. it makes me smile. Love, Leila

I have no understanding of this. I see it in the younger ones
that are my patients. Not so much in adults. I think I am
a mod older lady, I can dance to hip hop etc. But earring out of every where?
I can't answer it spiritually????? Is there a spiritual answer?
Yeah, live and let live. Love, Leila
