As we start into the winter months, what changes do you go through?

What benefits or problems do you anticipate within this more introspective time of the year?

How do you pamper yourself, {or would you like to be  ;-D} for the 'female' half of the year? Winter to Spring is often considered 'feminine' in quality, as many forms of gestation take place!

What would you like to accomplish?

Do you keep journals or diaries of wishes and dreams... perhaps to help manifest your creations in the Spring?

i go through all sorts of changes starting now until spring. first i start cleaning like a madwoman. i'm not an overlly clean person (i mean i'm usually a slob LOL) but this time of year calls for domestic workings.

i bake like crazy, i cook like crazy, and its time for family. i also get into decorating, scrap booking, crocheting and other crafts.

perhaps the domesticity of my actions is some sort of spiritual need to get in touch with the goddess. i always just thought i was nesting for winter though LOL.

wi don't really pamper myself in the conventional way. all of the things listed above are ways that i pamper myself....

As we start into the winter months, what changes do you go through?

I nest, I store things up ... food, fuel, jugs of water. I shop more this time of year getting ready for winter. It's like I feel I am going to be snowed in and I want everything I could possibly want at my fingertips. I like to 'hermit' anyway so I like winter. I read more, I draw more, I meditate more, I journal more, I do more card readings, I am more spiritual. I really tune into myself this time of year.

What benefits or problems do you anticipate within this more introspective time of the year?

I see benefits. More goal setting and finding inspiration. More time for my artwork. I spend more time with DH. Everything is all snuggly and peaceful.

How do you pamper yourself, {or would you like to be ;-D} for the 'female' half of the year? Winter to Spring is often considered 'feminine' in quality, as many forms of gestation take place!

I am all about pampering! I take baths. I do the girly girl stuff like putting on moisturizer, deep hair conditioning, mud masks. I treat myself to tea time. I make time for spiritual and knowledge pursuits and I read frilly stuff and watch movies. I revert back to a kid at home on a snow day.

What would you like to accomplish?

This would be a great season to get my photo albums all put together. I would like to get my book of shadows all organized and mostly, I want to draw, draw, draw!

Do you keep journals or diaries of wishes and dreams... perhaps to help manifest your creations in the Spring?

I have a dream journal, I have a wish journal, I have a spiritual journal/ my everyday journal. I journal everything!

As we start into the winter months, what changes do you go through?

"The changing of the wardrobe," wherein I pack away my summer clothes.

"The making of the lists," wherein I start to plan out Holiday gifts to buy or make.

"The revival of the kitchen", wherein I get back to cooking bigger meals. Slaving over the stove doesn't feel so much like slavery when its cold and dark out!

What benefits or problems do you anticipate within this more introspective time of the year?

It's a cozy time but its also a time of lots of travel for family get togethers and the balancing act of my husband's family time and my big italian family.

Comfort foods and long hot baths!

What would you like to accomplish?

Its our first holiday season with a new baby so just enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! We'll take lots of photos and hopefully keep up on albums and get that baby book started!

Do you keep journals or diaries of wishes and dreams... perhaps to help manifest your creations in the Spring?

My journals are a small part journal and a large part to-do list so I guess this is an on-going process of planning and dreaming or me.

As we start into the winter months, what changes do you go through?

Like most, I definately turn inward/introspective. I kind of just slow down, go into hibernation mode. :)

What benefits or problems do you anticipate within this more introspective time of the year?

I'll have more time for reading which is always a plus. My kids on the other hand tend to start climbing the walls around the end of December--which is definately a problem--:) I'm looking forward to really observing, paying attention to the changes that occur in my local area during the winter months.

My favorite thing is when my DH lights a fire and I'm able to sit without interruption and read. My other favorite thing is a large hot chocolate with wip cream from Dunkin Donuts!!

What would you like to accomplish?

Well, I just got a new book--The Witching Way of the Hollow Hill by Robin Artisson and I am really looking forward to delving into that over the winter. I also would love to start my cello lessons!!

Yup--I just started one a few months ago. Thats another thing I'm looking forward to. More time to journal.

Blessings,
Lisa

I slow down significantly, sleep more, almost a mini-hybernation.
