I think he has every right to operate a business, and they are very up-front about his past.

I put confused because I am divided on this issue, to some degree. This guy's been ok for many years, good parole record, been through rehabilitation, has paid his debt re jail time. My question is, if the medical establisment says it's ok to let them out of jail, and they do everything they are supposed to do, are they to have their rights limited for the rest of their life, and to have their past criminal convictions made public for the rest of their lives? If they are dangerous, even after release, then why not a life sentence and be done with it. What's more compassionate? How difficult to forgive such crimes, how difficult even if they've done their time and are trying to live right? I don't know how to feel on this one. Fear is a powerful force and coupled with fear for children, it's doubly strong. Do I think this guy was playing w/ fire, creating a kid attraction? Yes, I do. Why put yourself in such a situation, knowing your past terrible weakness? That I just do not understand. Gypsy

I'd say, go for business but not one that revolves around kids.
How do we know, just protect the kids, there are lots of businesses.
He could do something appearing safe. Maybe in day light. I don't know,
I certainly want to forgive, I aso work in psyc, I see people who don't change a lot.
I wouldn't let my kids go. Maybe I'd go. Leila

I have to say I agree with Leila and Gypsy. Forgiveness is key to everyone's mentality, but he shouldn't be creating a business surrounded by kids with his past history.

Let me also say, this guy and haunted place are in my hometown. Yes, very scarey to me! I was born and raised here. I would not let my daughter go, although I hear they've had quite the business out there. We live in a very small town where everyone knows when you sneeze so it's not easy to keep secrets or any criminal history around here. So, we all knew about it. The people in the town seem to be using their heads about it. The majority of the kids that have gone have had an adult with them (so I've heard). And they say this guy doesn't even come out of his home during the haunted house hours. So, maybe he is trying and is getting better. It's just not a chance I would take with my daughter.

That's just my two cents!

Chris
