how do you feel about channeling for $

There is a couple in our area that used to
have people to their house, he channels.
now they are selling tapes and charging 20 dollars
for what he has to say. Not that 20 is so much money,
but if info is so important for us to hear, I think it
should be passed on from the heart or else ask a love
offering. I am not cheap, spend more money than I
should, but am holding back from going even
though I am curious. Any thoughts on paying for help
or information from
the other side? Love, Leila

Honestly, I don't see a problem with it.

I had a private session with Will Tuttle and his wife, and received a personally inspired 30 minute CD of original piano improvisation and a water color painting.

I'll let you know, it is for 30 people, about what is coming and
how to prepare. We can ask questions. I'll let you all know, for free! (:- )
Love, Leila PS maybe I am too used to doing reiki for love offerings.
i need to start to charge for things.

Leila, I don't see anything wrong with charging if you have a talent.

Hi Cara,
thanks, I am going to go to the cahanneling event. sounds like
this is a hard year for you. It will pass even tho
it may not feel that way. Keep hanging in. Maybe come here more esp
when you feel like packing it up. There is good support here. Glad you know
your guardian angels are here, walk thru it all and there will be a surprise at the end
of the tunnel. all turmoil and pain does end. Love, Leila

Have you ever read the books "Seth Speaks?" There's a whole series of them, about a woman channeling a wise entity named Seth. I can't recall the author at the moment. Whether it's channeling, Tarot, runes, stones, it's always very hard to identify those with a real gift, from the scam artists. I think the Seth channeler might have been genuine; I bought a couple of her books, back in the 70s I think. So I paid her, essentially, because I bought her books. I think if you want to learn about something, you have to bear the cost, if any. I think if one performs a service, one deserves payment. When it's a spiritual gift, I am on the fence. Does money taint the work done? I think only if money becomes the focus rather than the service. I think this is one for intuition, myself. If you feel drawn to learn more, perhaps this person is a source of some wisdom for you. Go with your shields up, if you go, and your intuition on high alert. You'll recognize what is genuine and what is sham. I'd say it depends on how curious you are. ;) Gypsy

Blessings,

Gypsy

I agree that using our talents for a living, such as channneling, is acceptable. As long as it is a valid talent. Often it's difficult for clients to tell if the person does have the claimed talent as people are usually in a desperate state when they seek counsel. Also charging a reasonable set price is important. In any business, being fair to the customer will always reap success. That said, it must be hard relying solely on a spiritual talent for a livelihood, doing it as a sideline or "hobby" can make it appear more genuine, though there are many ways to market oneself.
