I told you all that I dont really have any religion..Well I thought of e-mailling some local churches and asking them their thoughts on someone like me coming to their church....I emailed 10 churches 3 times I havent gotten an answer... My thoughts was that who ever answered stating it was ok to be confused, and that maybe they could help...I would go there and see if that was for me, thinking they must be opened minded enough ...No answers...Should I e-mail some more, or just leave it alone?

I don't see any problems with a church welcoming a newcomer who doesn't really have a religion. Most churches i know want newcomers to join and will usually offer much guidance. My suggestion would be to go with some friends to their church and see how you like it, or you can even go by yourself if you're comfortable. I would usually sit in the last row because i didn't know what was going on and too embarrassed. Besides i'm the quiet and shy type. Its good to go to the church and be present so your soul can sense whether this is the place for you or not. It may feel awkward at first but you will know if this is the church you want to continue to come to. You can always go to any of the church offices and talk to someone who may offer you some guidance. Sometimes the priest, father, or preacher, etc will be there to answer any questions or concerns. I don't think you can get a good feel of things through email... but possibly. If it were me i would just rather find out in person. I also wanted to add that you should pray and ask for guidance. You don't have to identify with any religion for God or your angels to listen to you and answer your prayers. Just as long as you believe. Good luck! Many blessings and hugs. Love, Tia.

If you go here first and take the quiz, you will have a better idea about what you do and don't believe.

Hi there,

I was lurking on this board and found your post to be very interesting.

I do believe that there is a time for everything, and everyone. I also know that it is very difficult to find a church home, if that is what you are truly in search of.
When I started my search for a church home in my early adult years...it took me years to find a place that I would be happy to be involved with. I did find a great church home btw.
I was involved with that church until which time, they became less like a church family and more like a regime. I stopped attending church and since that time, have found no place where I would feel at home.

I hope you find what it is you seek. There is nothing better than finding a place to feel spiritually alive and others who will allow you to feel it.
I have found what suits me best for now, and pray you do as well.

Blessings to you!

V :)
