Gr Grandma was Near Death & Saw This!

Gr Grandma is in her mid 80s. She's "fine" now, but a few weeks ago she had a couple of close calls. She keeps talking about it & I think it's entirely possible - but I just wondered if others have experienced - or have had family members experience something similar, as below. It certainly is intriguing & offers hope!
She said her hubby (who's been dead over 20 years) came to stand by her bed. She also said there was a Baby "on the other side". She said she'd lost one at one point early in her life - not sure if it was miscarriage or live or what.....
anyway, just wondering if anyone else has heard of this close hand?

HI Cats,
My DH's g'ma is almost 91 and she too has had some things similar happen recently.
She had a dream where she visited with her sister, her b-i-l & nephew. Her b-i-l & nephew have been gone for yrs now. When she woke up, she went looking for them.
She has also seen other people that she didn't know, but she was wide awake then.
She has hallucinated before, but it was due to an infection and this time, there was no infection.
She is old and I'm sure that dementia has taken hold of her at times, but IMO there's more to it than that.

Actually I have had a near death experience. I might call it a near crisis experience, not sure just how close to death I was.
7 years ago I needed an operation and hemorrhaged, they had a hard time controlling the bleeding then had a VERY hard time pulling me out of the anesthesia. What I remember is a very strong feeling or presence near my right side. I kept trying to go with the "person" to my right and actually was restrained physically by nurses when I was trying to get up. I don't remember seeing much, but the feeling was so intense. I was not alone, an angel or God himself was with me during this time and I will never forget it. When I came out of it a nurse was holding on to my left shoulder and "pulling" me back. My family was in the room and looking quite worried. I was then told about the complications etc.
I don't know whether this was a near death thing or just God being with me through the crisis but it was an amazing experience. I get goose bumps everytime I talk about it.

Wow! Don't know what to say!
Since I wrote this original message, I've talked with my GGM about this again.
Tears were in her eyes - she says she's not sure if it was a dream -
but I do believe her - I think it may have indeed been reaL!!!!!!
Very encouraging! Very interesting indeed hearing your actual physical wanting to get up & go to the side of the bed!
OK -do you think this could be
due to DEMENTIA due to people this age?
You have to think they are thinking about GOING?
And they could be having dreams at this age.......

Actually, I think people suffering from dementia have some lucid moments when they are near death.
to visit me last night. i knew she'd be going to the other side soon.
Some people know when they are about to leave, it seems really kind
for our loved ones to come and visit, lets us know they will be there
to welcome us back. love, leila
