Getting into the Holiday Spirit .. *m

Guess what?  There's _____  many days until December 25th, and, depending on when you read this, that's exactly how many days you have!  (Grin)  I loved the holidays when my sons were younger.  I got a different perspective in their younger eyes.  All the magic, wonder, and expectations were there to see on their faces.  The funny thing I remember is that around age two or three, both of them got sick and I had to wait the day after to see that!   I got different decorations.  Nick is helping me wrap some presents.  I got my "crucial" people (family, best friend) stuff, and anything extra can fall as they may.   I saw a holiday play at the University last night, and, even with my thoughts drifting everywhere but the play, I did come to enjoy it very much.

I started the traditions of Kwanzaa a few years ago, so next week, I'll get the display set up.

Today, my best friend and I go to our favorite stand-by restaurant to catch up.  (I started Weight Watchers, so this will truly be a challenge!)   Scale   Ha!  I never did things at the most "opportune" time!

Exams start this week and by next Monday, I get a 3.5 week break until the Spring semester starts.  Whew!

Catch me up on your holiday plans.  What do you celebrate?  Do you celebrate at all?  What better time than to share your traditions!

I wasn't planning on decorating much, if at all, this year, but yesterday I got in the mood.

The boys get to learn at school how people in Canada, Sweden, England, China, Mexico, Australia, France, Venezuela, and India celebrate!

I just celebrate Christmas with my family and my husband's family. Hubby's family has a tradition of having a progressive dinner on Christmas Eve with whatever family members are in the area. For a while now, it's been himself and his parents, and his three brothers and their families. His three sisters and their families live in Hawaii, Colorado, and Utah while the rest of us are in the St. Louis, Missouri area.
