In many Christian churches, the role of women as equals is unquestioned. They serve as pastors and bishops. In others, women are not recognized as capable or worthy of serving in the same roles as men. Islam has a strict code for women's "place" in the world, and I don't think I've ever seen a woman Buddhist monk. Judaism is subtle in its dilineation between the sexes, with some older, traditional roles, but Israeli women have served with men in the army for many years.
What do you think about women and their place?
