Mine was fine, stressful and overwhelming .. depending what section I happen to be in at the time.   All in all, the guys had a blast, I ate waaaayyyy too much food, and I watched some awesome movies.

Et tu?  Give us the story!

I spent Christmas Day with my son, went to see Chronicles of Narnia (great movie!) and had a terrific steak dinner at home.

Ours was great Thanks for asking :)

We celebrated with family and had a great big dinner! I ate entirely too much, but enjoyed every bite! (LOL)
There were a few small obstacles, but all in all, the holiday was quite grand.
We watched heaps of movies we recieved as gifts AND on Mon. we went to see King Kong.
Busy, busy...but fun just the same!

I hope everyone had a blessed holiday!

Very nice, no stress. Dinner at my middle son's and his wife's
place, my other 2 sons there and grandson. It was Chinese food, all foods with veggies,
really healthy. heidi made one of her healthy desserts, a healthy organic blueberry cobler.
I worked on Christmas, my oldest son came over to see me. went to a friend's
after work and ate her italian husband's eggplant parm. Monday I had lunch with a man friend
Friends for 13 years and we exchanged presents. It was a good time. Jan 1 all my children will be over.
my grandson will love my piano. All is well. Love, Leila

No stress. After all these years, I've learned to just flow with it. What gets done, gets done. What doesn't, doesn't. ;)) DH was turned loose from work at noon on Friday, so he was around to help with house preparations. We had DD and her BF over, and DH's older sis. We started off with DD coming early, opening gifts with her, and having English Toffee flavored coffee and cinnamon rolls. DH's sis arrived at noon and we made our traditional homemade waffle brunch with bacon. DH's family tradition includes chicken gravy on the waffles. DD as an adult has decided she likes the gravy, and had some with gravy and some with maple syrup. I stuck to the maple syrup. ;)

Later we opened gifts with DH's sis, then relaxed and caught up with each other, and watched a movie. DD's BF arrived around 5:00 p.m. (having gone to be with his mom for the early part of the day), and I cooked a sirloin tip roast, baked potatoes, broccoli with cheese, and DD made the cottage cheese and fruit salad. A traditional feast with us. Later, we had this awesome dessert made by DH's sis: a chocolate cream pie with a mountain of whipped cream on top, and cherries inside. WOO! HOO! Talk about RICHHHHH! LOL!

So, we feasted and stayed stuffed through to Monday, and had a nice time. I liked being older now, with DD grown and gone, and avoiding all the angst and rush and prep work of the days when she was young and I wanted to provide her with loads of happy memories of cookie baking, and so forth, and she, getting up at 3 am, 4 am, 5 am and finally 6 am when we would drag ourselves out of bed to watch her open packages. :P It was nice to not have all that rush-rush prep any more. DD baked the cookies this year (I bequeathed her all the cookie cutters and the recipes, LOL!). It was nice to do the preparation in measured bursts rather than having the sensation of having to "hit the floor running!" :P

Monday, DH was off, and we lounged around, took Mika doggie for a walk, and came home and lounged around some more, reading books that were gifts or watching movies.

thanks for asking! mine was... it was. Friday night I took my sisters 3 kids to my house to stay the night so I could take them to Grandma's Saturday afternoon. Saturday was spent at my mom's, then at around 9ish I went home and watched back to back Law & Order:CI til about 3am... too exciting, right? Sunday went to in-laws house at 5ish and was back home by 9. Monday I had off from work, so I went over to a friends house to help clean up after a basement flood. Tuesday back to work. And this weekend I have no plans... which is something considering I have no kids, unless you count the husband. I'm actually looking forward to sitting around all weekend at home! Which is something I don't get to do often-work 9-5 M-F plus travel for my job, after 5pm I train dogs, and on the weekends I do a radio show... yeah, sitting on the couch looks really, really good!!

Hi ladies, it's been a LONG time since I've been here!!

My Christmas holiday was really nice. Not too stressful but a little bit and overwhelming is an understatement!!

We had Christmas with my Dad's family on the 17th and despite 2 - 9yo's showing up an hour before they were supposed to, the night was pretty good all in all! Then Dec 24th was Chrismtas with my Mom's side and then we went back to my parents home to do our gift exchange. Then Christmas Day we went to the IL's where we had a pretty good time too. Santa was good to us and we enjoyed all our gifts!! Next year, SIL and I have decided we would like to have Christmas with them the weekend before Christmas so we're not cramming so many things into a couple days and then we can use Christmas Day to basically relax and do nothing! Hey, I'm all game for that!!

The holiday went just fine this year, last night was the last in our round of gatherings. I hope to take some time this weekend to relax and enjoy the end of the year. I am looking forward to making some positive changes this year and enjoying life a bit more.
