this board looks wonderful!! I've been looking for an open-minded forum where I can question, share, listen, learn, give and receive encouragement, grow, journey . . . *be*!

I'm Amanda, I'm a single Mom of two teen-age girls and (as the user name implies) I have recently returned to college (23 years later . . . . .). Events in my Life over the past few years have left me . . . *sigh* . . . wounded and questioning. I sometimes refer to the line from "Stairway to Heaven" that says, "and as we wind on down the road, our shadow's taller than our soul . . ." to describe how the place I'm currently in feels to me. and ooooooohhhhh how I long to be past this place ~ I'd luv for my soul to feel larger than the shadows again. I certainly could benifit from a safe haven where I can re-explore my Spiritual side w/ people who can except where I am w/o telling me where I *should* be . . . have I found it?

Many Blessings to All, "M"

Hi M and welcome. I think you've found your safe haven. Stick around and you'll find many, many wonderful people all who will support you and help you through the tough time that you are currently experiencing, without judging or trying to persuade you onto thier path instead of your own.

Blessings and light ~Carol~

i would say you have found a great place. Shadow is the dark side, dark doesn't stick around where there is light. We have all been in shadow places in life, shadows disappear in noon sunshine. Love, Leila

Have you found it? Yes, I think so! ;)) Welcome to the board. We talk about all kinds of things here, that concern us or that we wish to share. Much of it is about our personal spiritual journeys, where we're at, where we've been, what wisdom we've learned, where we hope to head next. No pushing you in any one direction. No debates. Just support and sharing. :))

So, you fit right in! :P

hallo "M"
I haven't been here for ages and ages, but the time has come again, for me to drop by and see what everybody is doing or which path they are heading for.

you are 'back' at school again? mmmm I did have to smile.. Although I understand what you mean.. I could see that my tract is different.. as I see that in life? school even formal education? never stops for me..

Shadows? I see those as, steps we have to take, in order to move on and grow.. The past 'sad' experiences in our life, have been either chosen by us? before we came to this particular lifepath, or have other meanings... learning of life from life, to grow ourselves orrrr.... to be of help to another person some time in the future, for the benefit of that person/soul.

so may I wish you a lovely and especially? exiting journey? Where ever it may take you to do or to follow or!!!! 'to learn'? yourself? or to teach others..

YOU are growing and that's is why there are others, who are discomfitted by your new path or rather the vision of your new path.. If they get to you? just send them lovehearts.. not your love, just lovehearts and you will be amased by the results of this.. But ONLY? if you are so inclined and feel up to it..this method will help you to stay at peace with yourself and have a fantastic effect on the receiver.. since it doesn't come from you personally? you aren't loosing any energy, which you need for yourself on your own adventurous path!! good luck and have a lovely and especially!!! great journey!

Welcome here too, so to speak by somebody, who 'floats' around a lot!
greets from old brush

Thank you so very much for the warm welcome!!

Very interesting: my eldest daughter goes to the same college as I, we commute together every day as she is currently living with me (about ready to fly from the nest 'tho, I think ~~~ definetly testing her wings *LOL*!). But, yes, it does make for an interesting senario.

Thank you again for the warm welcome. Just reading some of the posts has helped me to remember some of the things I could be doing to help pull myself out of the gray. I do realize that this "dark time" has been needed in some ways. I was so wounded I needed time to isolate myself (I guess like an animal would crawl into a cave to nurse itself?), but it is time to come out and "test the muscles" and gain my strength again. Interesting, as I was writing this I just realized something ~ perhaps one of the things that has been bothering me lately is that I expect myself to just suddenly *pop* back with the strength (and optimism/Joy/Faith) I had before? Perhaps I need to build back to that? Perhaps I'm still "recouperating"? Something to think about?!?

Anyway, again thank you so very much for the welcome ~ I think I'm going to like it here.

Much Love and Many Blessings, "M"
