Changing faith, changing religion?

Just wondering...........
How many of you are still practicing the same religion you grew up with? Or, if raised in a family that didn't practice any religion, are you still non-practicing, or have you gravitated towards one? If a change, why?
It recently occurred to me that most of my friends grew up in one religion and are now practicing another or not any at all.
Myself, I was raised an Episcopalian (geesh, hope I spelled that right) but now am following more of a new-thought path, I like the four agreements, Course in Miraclese, etc; and go to a Unity church sometimes. I changed because I felt something missing, and started exploring, and liked what I found.
How about others here? :-)

Sounds really nice, Leila. I'm having my coffee, and making this my last stop before leaving for work. I finally got my Masters in Psychology last year, and am currently working with emotionally abused, and / or battered, and / or suicidal women. It's extremely rewarding, but tough work! Planning on going to grad school next year.
I'd love to catch up with you! So much going on with the girls, too. They continue to rock my world!!! Will plan on sending you a more newsy e-mail sometime this weekend.
Enjoy your day! :)

Another great question!
"Honesty does not apply only to what you say. The term actually means consistency. There is nothing you say that contradicts what you think or do, no thought opposes any other thought, no act belies your word, and no word lacks agreement with another.Such are the truly honest. At no level are they in conflict with themselves."
Lofty goal, but I can see where it leads to peace......
Hugs,
Nikki
you are taking the words right out of my mouth or of the way I think..
It doesn't matter, what one believes, but what one does with it and how.
I was listening yesterday again to the CD's made by Dr. Wayne Dwyer.. about the Power of Intent. I was glad I did, it helped me/re-assured me, that a recent step I took, was the right one and I still love one of his sayings, as I have that printed up and it hangs in my kitchen, it goes like this:
When you change the way, you look at things, the things you look at? change!
It has been a real help to me in my life, in more ways than one.
greets from the old brush
"When you change the way, you look at things, the things you look at? change!"
Wise words! I say it this way, "We can change our reality by changing ourselves." :))

M, how are you, woman!!!!!! I thought, well, if Leila's here, then maybe M's here, too. And here you are! It's as if no time has passed. (it has, of course, but not to old friends like us) I tried to get in touch with you after the hurricane, but somehow lost your information after the move. I hope your ears have been ringing ... for years!
Still wear the tree of life, and think of you. So good that we've found each other again, and I'm thrilled to have reconnected with Leila again, too. Well, isn't life *good*. :)
Speech and Language Pathology!!! Fantastic!!! Good for you!!!
More soon. I'll be around here, if sporadic at times. Lots of love to you, and your sweeties, too. Will have to catch up all the way, soon.
