I have found practicing with affirmations to be very helpful in my spiritual life. Especially those that remind me that God is within and that I am a part of everything. Listening to songs that uplift my spirit has also helped me greatly. One band I like is "Walk Across Fire". Every song on their CD reminds me of what's good about life. Anyone else listening to them?

Hi! :)) I don't listen to that group, they're a new one to me. What kind of music? New Age, Gospel, spiritual, etc.? I'll have to look them up on-line and see...:P I tend toward new agey stuff like Carlos Nakai Native American Flute music, or David Arkenstone, or Celtic music or Medwyn Goodall. I also like CDs with just nature sounds like forest sounds, ocean, river, etc. These are great for meditation or t'ai chi, and blocked outside sounds. ;)) I DO use affirmations. They are a very valuable spiritual exercise, in my view. They are healing therapy for sure! I see them also as possibly a part of a visualization exercise to either change myself or my reality (which is usually about changing myself, LOL!).

WOO! HOO! YEAH! Beach Boys! LOL! :D They cheer me up almost as much, blasting from my car tape player, as driving around town in my orange Beetle! Hee! Hee!

I have not heard of that group either. I do enjoy music and especially like listening to Celtic. I find it healing when I am in a down mood.
