Silly Little Story: My Lost Keys

Today I couldn't find my car keys. I always put them in the same place. I had gathered together what I was taking with me, paid bills to be mailed, my wallet, Mika doggie's water bottle, water dish & poop bags and my hiking/walking hat. Mika was all smiley and eager to go for an "adventure." Then I discovered my keys were missing. :((

With escalating upset, I moved and emptied stuff on the table. No keys. Checked the pocket of the slacks I wore when I last drove the car. No keys. Looked under the bed. By the computer. Checked coat pocket. Crawled under the table and looked about. Nothing!!! >>:-[] I was in tears. Mika was puzzled and confused watching me do all this. Called DH. He hadn't seen them. ARRGGHH! I was really PUT OUT, LOL!

Suddenly I saw in Mika's eyes this questioning stare, and I stopped in my tracks. Here was the time to ask for help! So I went to stand in front of my altar to the Goddess and God and my totems. I ask my Lady & Lord to help me. I put my lost key problem in their hands. I accepted whatever guidance they would offer. Trusting that if they didn't want me to leave the house for some reason, I would accept their wisdom. As I was leaving the living room and my altar, a thought popped in my head of a place to look again. Hidden from view, attached to a bag I had moved from the table during my search, were my keys, LOL! :D

Another lesson to seek guidance, inner & outer. The answer comes if I don't go into tailspin mode, and block the information. ;)) A little reminder. A little bit of wisdom.

Mika & I mailed the bills and had our walk.

Life goes on! :D Maybe next time I'll be more open to guidance from the start instead of freaking out first, LOL! I guess everything is spiritual. I'll have to remember that! ;))

I pray to the saints when I lose something inportant. It is usually my hearing aide. I take it out to talk on the phone, usually tuck it under somehting to hide it from the cats. When it is not in the usual places, I get so scared like the cats ate it. St Anthony helps me all the time. Love, Leila

I love it! What a wonderful reminder that nothing is too small to bring to the higher realm, they truly care for every hair on our head.

I had to laugh when I read this because my mom has found sooooo many things by praying to St Anthony; she isn't Catholic but says she "borrows him and they have an understanding."
Her friends and even I will call her sometimes when something is missing, she will pray to him and 9 out of 10 times we will find the missing object!!
