hallo ALL
twice a subject has come up, that really sparked everybody's response and it is very interesting to read them.. It also helps I feel, that it gives one another the feeling of not being alone in/with it.. and feeling supported!
so what do you hate, with or without a passion?
I am going to think about this.. for I know there are some on my list too, but thought to start it off first.

oh dear me! leila! you did made me laugh!! it was realy humourous to read your response.
Wether we like or dislike the word, tis a legitemate feeling in our emotions. Some are stronger than others. One can also use the words: dislikes extremely.. So if that is much more comfortable to you? why don't you use it?
I hate people, or rather I hate the action more than the people.. and that is abrasiveness, crudeness, bad manners, fat, diets, rashes, allergies.
Have to think about others now.. am discovering already a whole list of dislikes!
Furthermore, the word "hate" is also connected sometimes or seen sometimes in connection with fundametalistic thinking and believes.. or narrowmindedness.
So perhaps, what does come to mind, with that word association?

Hi Brush :)
Hate is such a finite word. Look at words with the same meaning: Abhor, detest, loath, execrate, abominate.
Those are such harsh words, not to mention feelings. There isn't anything that I could possibly think of that I truly hate. I might not care for something, but hate...no.

Dear Leila, I don't like George Bush either. I think he, along with his cohorts have done some terrible things to the planet, and its people, and a lot of it in the name of good. I can't hate George because I think of him as a pawn, or puppet, in the middle of a very large nest of power, and corruption. Maybe it will help if you think of our current president as a team player who's been groomed his entire life to play a role he's utterly ill prepared for? I try to focus my energy on the fact that many very good people are working their tookies off to right some of the wrongs that have been done. Never means that good will prevail, but it's trying. ;o)
I really dislike apathy, and ignorance. Combined, I believe they are the number one reason we face the dilemmas we do. Some of the people in the "grey house" would not be in the positions they are in, continuing to do the damage they do, if more people looked, and loved, *actively*, and with awareness, beyond their own noses. The power is in the people, but the people have (temporarily, I hope) given it away.
Here's an article, I think, that tells it like it is!

Good point about focusing on the behavior. I'm all for embracing the richness of our humanity, and feelings in all their forms are a part of what we've been given, one way or another. ;o) Fact is we all feel strong feelings of dislike, or hate at times. Some people push the energy down, and "should not" it, and others don't.

I agree with you about 99.5%, however, I gotta admit I really do "hate, abhor, detest and loath" artificially raspberry flavored anything! ; - ]

I originally thought I didn't actually hate anything, but after reading these posts, I have to admit, I 'hate' refried beans.
"...He may be there for many people who don't think too much about things to see the harm he is doing and to come to terms with their beliefs." - Leila
Exactly why apathy is dangerous; too many people aren't thinking enough about their beliefs; too many people are content to leave it to others to do the thinking for them.
These are serious matters, too many lives are at stake and lost every single day. It's time for people to recognize their own personal power, organize, and do something about it. I have much hope, and I know that you do, sweet lady. Keep on ...
Lovies,
Susan
