all is well in my house in spite of the flooding in and around my area. I am very grateful. I have a very nice finished basement, when I check the storage area and see it is dry, I know angels are here. My neighbors in the same condo, on a higher level have lots of water in their basements. surrounding areas are a mess. i can't believe it is all happening, because I can't see it all. 10 miles from me roads are closed and rivers are flooding over. The road to work is still open. Love, Leila

Thank you honey, you are close by. I miss the sun. Weird, things are so bad SO close to me, yet, I do not venture in that area, so weird. so hard to believe it is happening., My neighbors in the next bldg., have all flooded basements.
Canoes in Lowell, Ma Roads closed everywhere. I am in my little dream world, so safe and so warm. Exeter is the town next to me, I am always there, the town of Exeter Academy, I hear down town is partly really bad. Love, leila

My prayers go out to you! Being from Florida, I know what anxiety you must be going through! I live on the water and have lucked out too, so far. In the last few years with the hurricanes, I have all the canals around me overflow, but, luckily have gotten through them all without any flooding to my house....while all around me people were flooding out. It is strange because you feel so lucky, but you also feel so terrible for everyone who is affected.
It'll pass over though...just keep praying! Funny thing is,at this time this year, we are so dry that huge brushfires are erupting all over our state. It's funny how things can change so quickly. I'm sure in a couple months, they will be telling us once again that we have too much rain!
My prayers are with you!

BTW...from what I have seen on news reports...You all are taking this stressful time better than we would down here. We blame everyone and everything except nature on our problems in Florida. Although Florida is a beautiful place, it is also a harsh enviroment. We have people who move here that don't realize what mother nature can do. We're the Hurricane and lightening capitol of the world. The swamps and marshland is what stops flooding and we built over them because we wanted to be near the water. I accept that and learned from it. I have decided it's not worth it and am looking for a new place to live.
What you are going through is not the norm and I have never seen so many people grin and bear it and work together to help each other out. I praise you for that. I would do anything to live somewhere where, although it's tragec, you come closer and become a community. Everytime this happens here, the people who purchased the land in coastal areas blame the government or builders...all the while knocking down old hotels and homes to build larger luxury condos so more people can be affected by all this.
Good Luck to all of you!

Thanks everyone, it is true , I do feel a little guilty, I am one of the few in the condos that are dry. Tonight I went to a meeting and forgot, took the back roads, got detours!!!!!!!!!!!! Yet, the coast didn't have as many problems, it was the rivers. I don't think I want to live on water any more. Love, Leila
