Do you schedule time to pray?

  • Every week, as part of a formal worship service.
  • Every day, at a particular time. (i.e. morning, bedtime)
  • Only on holidays/holy days/sabats.
  • Yes, but not on any regular timetable.
  • Regularly, on a timetable not listed above. (Tell us)
  • I don't schedule it because I'm always in communication with my Higher Power.
  • No.
  • Other (There's always an other! LOL)

I chose other because it's a mixture. I try to pray when I get up in the morning and when I go to bed. I'm pretty good at bedtime, but not always when I wake up. I also pray before meals and when I see that someone needs a prayer or when somebody asks for one. We pray before we go anywhere and before making big decisions. So we do schedule some prayers, but others aren't planned.

I chose "I don't schedule it because I'm always in communication with my Higher Power." I'm in "conversation" whenever and wherever with my Goddess and God, silently or out loud. As things come up I want to discuss, seek guidance for, or protections, and lots of times to just say a big THANK YOU for the beauty of a flower, my Mika, my family, what have you. ;))

I always take time out to meditate..it may not be morning or night...sometimes afternoon, but I am very high strung and it relaxes me to connect with God this way!

Hi Gypsy, I try to be in communication at all times with my God. Sometimes, during work or dealing with kid issuses, I will find myself off track, and gently bring myself back into that constant communion- it gives such a centered, peaceful feel to life when I am there.
Good for you for achieving it- it takes not a small amount of awareness and living in the now. It is definitely worth the effort.
Peace, Nikki

Oh, hey, I haven't achieved it 100%!!! I'm no paragon. ;)) I am a work in progress, too. Aren't we all? :D
