QotW - 5/19 - Vacation?

With gas at $3.00/gallon with no relief in sight, the changing weather patterns, political climate, increased prices everywhere and stagnant incomes...
Are you planning a vacation this summer? If so, where will you go? If not, what do you do to bring a change of pace to your lives?

Well, I took my last final exam this morning (*^*^*HOOOORAY*^*^*!!!), Spring term is now offically over!! Sooooo I've been going around all afternnon doing the Alice Cooper thingy (singing "School's Out For Summer")! I will be taking one on-line class this Summer and one class here in town, but I won't have to do that 80 mile commute four times a week again until September (and then only 3 xs a wk! yeah). Soooooooooo for right now this is enough of a change of pace and I'm very happy to welcome the *slow down*! (and the chance to read what I WANT to ~ for a change!!! *grin*).
Not sure what the Summer plans will evolve into later, at the moment I don't see any travel plans out there .................
Blessings, "M" (who's doing her own little *~*~HaPpY DaNcE~*~*!!!)
Congrats on finishing the last exam!
I'm taking off next Saturday morning with my sister and mother to bring Dad's ashes to rest in NJ.
We'll go camping a couple times for sure; that's one of the few vacations we can afford even with the price of gas.
No vacation coming up. We were supposed to drive to see my dad & step mom in AZ in early March. Mika got sick and we had a huge vet bill, so that cancelled the trip until either early November or December. Too hot there from now on until winter...
Until then we'll treat ourselves to some rental movies, Mika & I will do some hiking in different places close by, maybe, and I'll read some escapist fiction. :P

My Grandmother is coming with her BF in a week too...I haven't seen her in 4 years either so I miss her her sooo much. She is 86 so as many times as I can see her in the next few years, I'll take! I think the wisdom of our elders is one of the greatest gifts in life!
Hugs!
