How often have you said to yourself, after the fact, "I knew I should have done that''? How often do you intuitively know something but allow yourself to think yourself out of it?
Trusting your intuitive heart means listening to and trusting that quiet inner voice that knows what it is you need to do, what actions need to be taken, or changes need to be made in your life. Many of us don't listen to our intuitive heart for fear that we couldn't possibly know something without thinking it through, or for fear that legitimate answers could possibly be so obvious. We say things to ourselves like, "That couldn't possibly be right'' or "I couldn't possibly do that.'' And, as soon as we allow our thinking mind to enter into the picture, we think ourselves out of it. We then argue for our limitations, and they become ours.
If you can overcome your fear that your intuitive heart will give you incorrect answers, if you can learn to trust it, your life will become the magical adventure it was meant to be. Trusting your intuitive heart is like removing the barriers to enjoyment and wisdom. It's the way to open your eyes and your heart to your greatest source of wisdom and grace.
If you're unfamiliar with trusting your intuition, start by setting aside a little quiet time to clear your mind and listen. Ignore and dismiss any habitual, self-defeating thoughts that enter your mind and pay attention only to the calm thoughts that begin to surface. If you find that unusual yet loving thoughts are appearing in your mind, take note of them and take action. If, for example, you get the message to write or call someone you love, go ahead and do it. If your intuitive heart says you need to slow down or take more time for yourself, try to make it happen. If you're reminded of a habit that needs attention, pay attention. You'll find that when your intuition gives you messages and you respond with action, you'll often be rewarded with positive, loving experiences. Start trusting your intuitive heart today and you'll see a world of difference in your life.

Thanks, gnd.
I believe intuition is a gift from my Goddess. ;)) It is a way to cut through all the mental conditioning, and hear our true voice, underneath all those layers. I found mine, well, actually "heard" it only after I began doing sitting meditation, t'ai chi and even martial arts Katas. These practices brought me to center and taught me to block out all the mental background noise. It is in that inner silence, that our true voice, our intuition can be heard. Sometimes it's a matter of understanding which path to choose. Sometimes our very lives depend on listening to it, to avoid danger. I think, too, the use of divination tools such as Tarot, Stones, and so on, are ways of connecting deep inside of ourselves, as well, to connect with that power given us, Intuition.

I definitely trust my intuition. I've seen many times my intuition works for me and it sometimes work from smallest stuff (like the inner voice which tells me "turn to the right lane now" and when I turn I see that few meters further is some block on the road, or big stuff like intuitive voice which I heard with meeting new guys who weren't right for me or a voice that said move out of the parents' house now and I did a week later, which if hadn't been done so quickly god knows when it would happen. I saw that when I didn't listen to the voice I mostly made wrong decisions.
It's good to follow inner voice.
yes i agree w/you on that whole heartedly. many, many times in my life when i had deep intuition about different things, i didn't listen and then later on when the situation came up and i did nothing about it, mostly because i didn't recognize and remember that i was having premonitions about the situation(s), i ended up greatly regretting that i didn't pay any attention.
a good example; i just had my baby by emergency c-section because i had a severe placental abruption and when all the signs were there, that i was in distress and for a very long time, my doctors took no close attention and concern at the ob/gyn clinic in the hospital i was going to.
in the beginning of my pregnancy i kept getting a very strong feeling not to go to that hospital for my prenatal care the messages seemed pretty clear from the beginning but i was under so much incredible stress and intense anxiety that i could barely pay attention or even remember to check on it at a later time in the near future when some of the stressful things in my life passed.
unfortunatly the stress got no better, only a whole lot worse. more and more things kept on happening and was clouding my judgement and logical thinking & reasoning and even then i had gotten messages telling me to get away, to take it easy & relax so i could get my thoughts and true feelings to the surface but yet again like a dummy i could barely get my subconcious to open up.
thank God my baby was perfectly ok and in good health, most likely because i took very good care of myself, even through all the BS that was going on in my life during my entire pregnancy, and my baby was 37 weeks along by the time he had to be taken out of me!
now i let everyone know to always set aside time for themselves in a quiet enviroment, to take breaks, and to listen closely to their subconciousness especially if they are having a difficult time in their lives or need to figure something out.
