Who is God?

No matter what faith you follow, here's something that I think everyone who bellieves that there is a God can agree on:
Not everyone believes in the "same" God (I don't know if God has a gender, I personally don't think so, when I say God it just means our creator), but one thing we can be sure of is that we all do SHARE the same God.
If humans try to come up with our own ideas about who God is, we are bound to have as many views as there are people on earth. Do you think that God wants us to know who he/she is? Do you think that God reveals himself/herself to us? Or do you think God just wants to stay at a distance and let us guess?
To be the first one to answer my own question, as a Christian, I believe that God tells us who He is, why He created us and what He wants.
How do you know God?

As far as I know because I dabbled in a little Wicca it is not evil, nor black majic.
"If a immoral person is a Wiccan could he/she use the power that you described to do evil things? Since the person practicing Wicca actually decides what to do with the power."
There are immoral people in all religions, capable of doing harm. It's a choice, and to that extent, is exercising one's personal power. Everyone has power to act, or not act, to say or not say something. In your religion you have the concept of sin. In mine, we have the concept of The Rule of Three -- what you send out, comes back to you threefold. So, no, doing evil isn't a really good idea, as it will return to you threefold. ACK! No thanks! ;))

Tragically, that is very true. :((
"I did not cast spells or anything I just worshiped the earth by singing and dancing and a heck of alot of planting."
Are you still Wiccan? Did/do you practice as a Solitary? Do/did you belong to a group? I have met other Wiccans on line that call themselves "green witches" because they plant a lot of herbs and veggies. They nourish and heal through their growing things. :)
I enjoy Nature, spending time outdoors walking with my Mika dog, sitting under a tree and sharing its energy, observing and celebrating the seasons. But I am not good at gardening, LOL! Brown thumb, here! :D
Next week, I will be celebrating the upcoming Mabon/Fall Equinox Sabbat with a group for the first time since I dedicated myself as a Solitary to the Goddess and God many years ago. It's a Pagan group in the Unitarian Universalist church I am trying out. I'm looking forward to it! ;)

I believe God is not a "who" but rather a "what."
