Last night, DD & I went to the Pagan Circle for Mabon/Fall Equinox.

First, a weird thing happened on the way. We got lost. And not because we didn't follow the directions. One of the street signs had been twisted and was pointing to the wrong street! I had forgotten to take the phone number with us. We were able to call DH for the phone number of the hosts for the gathering. I would have had to go home if I'd been alone, not being able to hear on the cell phone. :( DD called the people from her cell, we got clarification, and we found them. Funny, the man said others have had trouble finding their place, too. DD & I wondered if this was a sign that we were on this journey together with this group, that had I been alone, I would not have made it to the gathering. What troubled me was perhaps there was a negative energy that was working to keep us away. <:o DD mentioned, also, how when we walk into our Pagan shop, there is like an invisible protective "veil" you walk through when you enter, and you find yourself in safe space. Perhaps even unknowingly to these people, there is shielding and protection the Goddess has put in place, that only serious seekers find their way? Dunno. Weird...

It was the first time DD & I had ever been able to be with other Pagans for a Sabbat. 15+ years of being Solitaries. It was a very moving experience. My palms tingled from the power we raised, much as they do when I do my t'ai chi. These people were loving and open. The Goddess and God were definitely there with us.

I still can't articulate everything, but the peace, the sacred Presence that came to us in Circle, moved me deeply. Calling the Guardians of the Four Directions, calling the Goddess and God, hearing those words from another's lips, surrounded by other Pagans. The Power of it was just amazing. I was in another space and time, another dimension.

I feel through the entire past three weeks, the Goddess' hand was guiding me at the small of my back. First, reading the discussion of other UUs on a spiritual board, then finding the local church and deciding to show up at a service two Sundays ago, meeting the minister in a private meeting who, in turn, let me know about the Pagan group and gave me phone numbers, contacting the Pagan group and finally, being there last night. Amazing synchronicity and flow. The Goddess works in amazing ways to guide me!

It's been an amazing journey these past few weeks, catapulting me from isolation into a new beginning and a new dimension on my spiritual journey. I am trying not to let fear and insecurities take over, but to be open to what the Goddess has in store for me. And to be sharing this journey with my DD is so very special. We have been on our spiritual path together for many years. It was she who first brought me to the Goddess, with her own questing. Our spiritual journey continues. :)

Blessed Be!

Happy Mabon to you! What a wonderful experience. I think we all get a little lost on our way to the diving, don't you? ;)

I celebrated Mabon with my 2.5 year-old son this weekend by washing all of our blankets at the landromat (preparing for winter) and cooking baked apples.

I've been sick recently (shigella infection ) that the ritual of cleaning felt really good.

Merry met,
Erica

I have had one such group experience with a Unity congregation and a Native American flutist who led the meditation.

I still feel that great opening of my Spirit and the energy rippling through my body, especially my palms. This memory will stay with me always, also. :))
