QOTW: How do you connect each day?
| Wed, 10-11-2006 - 10:12pm |
I'm participating in the Love Your Home Challenge, and today's assignment concerned analyzing various areas of our lives. It struck me as I did my assignment that beyond the moment of thanks I take each morning, I really don't set aside any time specifically for spirituality each day.
So I'm curious... What do you do each day to nourish your spiritual side?

I think co-leading this board is part of my connection every day, and probably yours, too!
I have developed a habit of saying thank you throughout the day as life happens around me.
This board does address my spiritual side, but in a more intellectual way.
Throughout my day I'll find myself praying,
thanking or praising God for something happening
that very moment. Takes less than a minute.
But my main thing is when I wake up in the morn
the first 20 or 30 minutes is devoted to
God with praise, prayer and thanks.
If I don't do that, I might forget to do so the
whole day.

Same here Cindy!
My altar is on our mantelpiece in the living room. I stand before it at least once a day to thank the Goddess and God for their protections and blessings, ask them for guidance, etc. When something pops into my head, I sometimes talk to Them out loud about it. :P It's like the Connection is always on and I don't even have to stand in front of the altar or "do" anything special. My thoughts just often come to "home base."

I don't specifically make time each day, but since I am fasting this month of Ramadhan (for the first time in oodles of years and more for personal connection with God and the universe than anything else), God and the universe
No where near enough time. My DH and I pray with our girls in the evening as we review our day. I love the prayer we have taught them. and then we encourage them to add to that.

I pray every day, attend church on Sunday morns, Sunday evenings and Wednesday nights. I love reading quotations, poetry, and reading Christian-based books. (A little known fact about me...)
