Gypsy here in Northern California. It's finally cool fall weather. YAY! Although the downside, is having to turn on the furnace. The utility bills are even worse for gas heat than for electricity for A/C in the summer months. ACK! <:O

Coming into the season of Winter is a time of spiritual introspection for me as well as a time to enjoy the dark evenings, cozy at home with my DH and my Mika doggie. :P I enjoy this time of year because there are more extended family gatherings to look forward to. Everyone is too busy for the other seasons of the year, these days. I'm looking forward to quiet walks with Mika, and enjoying the changing of the colors on some of the trees around here. I'm even looking forward to our rainy winters, as I love being cozy indoors, reading a book, watching a movie, a fire in the wood stove insert in the living room. I love walking with Mika in light misty rain, too, and the wonderful clean and green smell in the air! Quiet, slowed down time to just enjoy "being."

Blessings,

Gypsy

Autumn is my favorite time of year! I look forward to the cooler temperatures and humidity. My mother-in-law is also going to be moving in with us, and it's going to be a very busy time getting her moved in and settled in. And it's just going to be a huge adjustment as well. We get along really well, and now my dh is going to get ganged up on! I'm looking very forward to that (heehee). Hope everyone has a great fall!

love,
Stormy

What I am looking forward to is that this winter will be a lot less dark and cold than last year. The reason is I moved from Wisconsin to Florida. Already it is Strange to be at the beginning of November and have the temps in the mid 70s

Hi, I'm Victoria, 28, from NY... What I'm most looking forward to about these months is- their PASSING. This will be the 2nd year in a row that I'm just not all that happy at this time of year, but I do have a feeling that something will give early next year some time, so that's what I'm really looking forward to.

However, just to answer the question somewhat- some of the little things that I'm kind of looking forward to are making soup, seeing some friends, and having some quiet time to reflect on what I really want. It's so strange, this really feels like a "waiting period" for me and I'll try to make best use of the time by really reflecting and analyzing what I really want and how to get it! :-)

Cynthia here, and now that I live in South India I LOVE winter, because it means warm days and fresh night, and still green trees all around, I now actually enjoy slipping into a pair of jeans and a cute sweater knowing I wont have to add a parka on top LOL. With the nicer climate I enjoy being outside more, and sleep through the night wihout waking up zillion time because I'm too hot, too sticky, need a glass of water, or re-apply mosquito repellent.

In switzerland I hated winter with passion, the cold air was harsh on my asthmatic's lung, I hate feeling congested in too much clothes (clothing has to be a second skin...not get in the way), and cope with SAD. I remember that as soon as the holidays came I would spend my entire day curled up in bed with a book, or watchin DVDs with cookies and a cup of tea, talking to no one and letting the horrid weather pass...There was not much I was looking forward in winter at that time, exept maybe decorating the christmas tree and the fact it was tangerine season one of my favourite fruit.

Cindy of Hawaii here, where the weather is always warm
and we are used to seeing Santa at the golf course or
on a surfboard LOL!

This is the time of the year when our family living in other
states come home to visit so we always look forward
to this season.

Hugs,
