the essence of this board

is about love, kindness, respect and as the title says: faith and spirituality. here we are all more one than separated. This is not a religion board. Sure, things about religion come up of course. Faith and spirituality do not always mean religion. The flavor is about accepting, sharing and really it is not an analytical place in a heavy, text book type of nature. it is really for people who are tired of analyzing, who want to share and get new ideas. maybe we question and ask more than analyze. I think if one is truely heavily into their religion, they usually find a place that deals with that religion only. We would be a thorn on the side as we are not RELIGION based. Just my humble take. correct me if I am wrong. Love, Leila

1) I don't recall asking you whether you or others believe the same things I do. (in short, I didn't ask you.)
2) Please stop referring to my posts as attacks, it's misleading and constitutes a false accusation.
3) And it's not the path of Jesus. It's the path called Jesus.
4) it's always convenient to redirect and accuse a Christian of not behaving perfectly. I know I'm not perfect and I've meant no one any harm. I apologize to no one and I shall no longer attempt to defend myself. As Dr. Wayne Dyer says "Defend yourself to no one". I've done no harm - and only spoken the truth.
The way I see things, I ought to simply wipe the dust of this unwelcoming crowd off my feet for the dust of disbelief to cleave amongst you. (That's an inspiration from Luke 10:10-11)
Flag it if you wish. Have a ball. I do not care. I do not need an iVillage account to feel worthy.

You walk a path filled with courage and adventure.
I'm sure the Apostles Creed wouldn't get deleted!

No, you didn't ask me. But you posted your views on a public forum which makes initates conversation. If you don't like people responding to your views then stop posting them. Not everyone agrees with them.
2) Please stop referring to my posts as attacks, it's misleading and constitutes a false accusation.
You are the one who's accusing us of being 'an unwelcoming crowd'. Also your posts have been inflammatory toward other people, especially Bink.
3) And it's not the path of Jesus. It's the path called Jesus.
My apologies for the error.

You've spoken YOUR truth which may and does differ from other people's. Nobody is wrong or right or perfect. You don't have to defend yourself. But other people aren't wrong for their beliefs either. The only harm done is to yourself because this board is full of really nice people like Leila, Ginger and Bink just to name a few.
I remember last Christmas posting a post and was somewhat flamed and hurt by them. For awhile I was angry, but I came around to seeing their view points and I feel enlightened by them instead. Maybe I don't agree with them, but they broadened my mind and now I've opened my heart and mind to other views. I also would like to apologize to them for being so narrow-minded! Also I still get flamed by people on here occasionally. But I just learn to shrug it off as them not being open enough to understand my posts.

You can quote all the bible quotes you wish to but some people don't rely on the bible to guide their spiritual paths. Their beliefs are different then yours. That does not make them wrong or right. They have other guides and resources. So bible quotes really don't go far in illustrating a point.

I'm sorry that you feel this way. You must have a low self-worth in order to make such a statement. And for that I will send prayers and positive thoughts your way that you will open your heart to those who feel differently than you do, and for you to learn to love yourself.

Thank you, I appreciate the warm welcome, and look forward to being here.
Excuse me whilst I get out of the line of fire... ;-)

Ramble any time Nelle... you'd be surprised just how often many of us feel the same way.
I don't think there is anything wrong whatsoever in stating your beliefs in that way. You say that is what you personally believe, and you're not suggesting that the rest of the world should either believe the same thing or else is "wrong" in what they believe/how they live. I don't think there's anything wrong with what you posted at all...
Best wishes,
~Victoria
