How do you think it ends?

This last month has been a season of beginnings... Christians celebrated the beginning of their Savior's life, Jews celebrated a miracle and the beginning of freedom, pagans celebrated the beginning of the 'light' half of the year, and on a secular level, we all celebrated the beginning of a new calendar year.  Somehow it all got me thinking about ending.  About The End.  But I can't quite decide what I think that end is.

I'm sure that at the end of this physical lifetime I'll have some resting/judgement period, and then incarnate into another physical body.  My belief at this point is that I'll continue to do so until I've learned either everything there is to know about being human, or at least everything I want to know about being human.  (My DS#2 suggested once to me that we have a choice when and whether to reincarnate, and I really think he's onto something with it.)  But then what?  Evolve into a higher spirit level?  Like a guardian angel maybe?  And then any higher forms from there?  Or from there is it over and we just merge into Spirit for good?  I don't think I like the idea of ever being stagnant.  There must always be something new to learn, some new way to grow.  :-/

Anyone else ever think beyond the individual lifetime?  What do you think happens?

Hi Amy,

For starters: read Michael Newton's books, Journey of a soul and his other one. Hypnotized people tell of their deaths and after the death, they are very similar. I tried to have the process done, cost a fortune, did not work with me.

Years ago I prayed to my gram along with other dead relatives when my son was sick, within 2 weeks a card came to the house saying, " get well scott" with love from grandma and grandpa Landsman. They had been dead for 15 years. Ok, my mom found the card and sent it to me years later, that maybe they did not mail, not knowing of my prayers, do you really think that was a coincidence? after that a new med came out and my son has been fine. My grandmother helped me.

after my husband died, the stereo went on and off by itself. My neighbor's wife died, the door bell started to ring on and off, then it was every 3 minutes, he pulled it out of the wall. He called hospice, they said it happens a lot and it will stop.

The soul, how can I tell? cause I read it. (:- ) the people who jumped from buildings on 9/11. The soul left before they hit the ground. No reason for it to stay. After my mother died, she looked so empty, you could tell the soul wasn't there.

My experiences have not been so much in nursing. how many people have seen the image of a loved one after dearh or smelled their scent? i'll try to think of more. Read the people who wrote books on past life regressions.

Pray, look for answers, listen to people's stories. How old are you? Love, Leila

PS make this into a new post so others can read this and respond. when we leave the bodies we are so free.

I tend to lean toward that line of thought as well... we may not come back as human endlessly, but we must continue as something.

Honey, you need to be thinking about life, not death.
