Brian Weiss books/cd's

I saw somebody make a reference to Brian Weiss in a post below. Have any of you tried his past life regression cd's? or have had a past life regression by somebody reputable like him? I bought one of his books a couple of weeks ago. It is just fascinating! I'm reading avidly. Makes me want to check out one of his cd's. Are there other books or tools that have had helped you in your spiritual journey?
thank you!

I haven't read anything by him as yet. I'll add him to my list. ;)
I have found the Celestine Prophecy series, The Three Agreements series, some of Loiuse L. Hay's work, and Women Who Run with Wolves helpful and profound. There's a whole list on my web site, if you're looking for spiritual books to read, LOL! :D
But what's that saying? "So many books, so little time?" :P
Thanks for the post! :)

I have had no success with the past life CD, but only because I cannot maintain the required level of undisturbed meditation.
I have not read Brian Weiss's book, but I am a big fan of Mary Baker Eddy's books. My favorite is Science and Health, her book on Christian healing. I love her explaination of what life is and I have found her guidance on healing is most effective. You can read the book on line at www.spirituality.com if you are curious.
Warm regards,
Janet
I have read many other authors on the subject, but his were best because he was approaching it from a "normal" persons experience of finding this within his patients.
I bought one of his books as a christmas present to myself last month, when I was browsing at a bookstore and I just could not put it down! I enjoyed it so much that I went and bought another one. And I'm ordering a couple more from Amazon. Somewhere I had heard about him, and was curious about his work. Before purchasing his books, I had done some meditating on my own and have received some past life memories. I would love to have a past life regression done, maybe it would answer some questions about where I had picked up some of these behavorial traits that I have had since childhood.
Anyway, I like the fact that he's a renowned physician of repute. My dh is NOT into this stuff but really cannot say much in regarding this man considering his reputation. My dh thinks Sylvia Browne is a total nutjob! but he doesn't have much to say about Dr. Weiss.
thanks all for the feedback! I ordered one of his meditation cd's! can't wait to get it!

This is no joke: My two year old has a birth mark on her leg, a very prominent one. One day I decided to ask her without any advanced prompting. Her answer right away: "I was burnt." Two years old and pretty much no clue as to what the word burnt is. And no, she hadn't been burnt in this lifetime at all.
Anyway, good luck on your journey. I love coming to this message board because I have no one else in my life who shares this interest. Least of all my dh, who also thinks sylvia and all of them are plain cuckoo. LOL.
Take care
I try to tell my dh about children like your daughter, but he just writes me off as being crazy. I bought some books some time ago about children's past life memories, and it's hard for me to understand someone who write these stories off as being a part of an overactive imagination without reading the books themselves. But yet, they get down on people who criticize the Harry Potter books as being evil for example, like my dh does. He gets down on people who don't actually read the books, but judge people who let their children read them or see the movies.
I'm a huge Sylvia Browne fan too! and her Journey of the Soul series has really helped me more than I can ever say. I'm a big fan of hers although I do have an open mind when I read her books. I don't blindly follow them like my dh thinks I do, nor do I think she's a quack. After having some experiences of my own, I totally believe in some of her writings, since they've personally happened to me as well. IMHO, she doesn't write anything that hasn't already been written by somebody else. My dh doesn't seem to understand this point. Spirit guides for example; I've seen my own spirit guide and he has introduced himself to me and others have written about them as well.
I went to the bookstore the other day, to pick up another Brian Weiss book, and Sylvia had like 5 new ones on the shelf! and I just bought two new ones in December. So I have lots of reading to do! I don't know what I think about her church though, I tend to stay away from that. Have you tried her meditation cd's?

I have one of his CD's, didn't send me to an after life. I did meet the guy. it was the anniversary of my husband's death, his first book was given to me after my husband died. I have read 2 other books he wrote.
I am so redundant, I loved Michael Newton's books, spirit of the soul and journey of the soul. I always mention it as he is the only one I know who has written books, hypnotizing people and ask them questions about their death and what happens after. So cool. If you like Brian, you'll love these. Love, Leila
Anyway, I also read her books much the same way and she suggests that, an open mind, skeptical is okay to be because it helps us use our intuition to let us know what is true and not.
I have met my spirit guide but she only revealed her name to me and that was all. I have a very chaotic busy life and so there is no time to pursue those things like I want. I have tried one of her meditation cd's though and really liked it.
That is so great you have met your spirit guide. You will find that to be a blessing I"m sure. Have you read any other authors such as James Van Praagh or Alison Dubois? I have read so many by now but am far from being done (reading is my passion).
have a great evening
I was introduced to Brian Weiss from a friend at work who read his books in spanish :)
I have read two of his books, but for the life of me cannot remember the names. Sorry. I know one was his first book and the other was about two past life lovers who reconnect in this lifetime. Both were amazing and I read them rather quickly. My soon to be mother in law also likes Brian Weiss and she was the one who gave me the lovers book as her son and I met on peculiar circumstances. He lives in the United States and I live in Canada. My sister called to say that she and her new boyfriend were making the trip to the States that weekend and would I pleeeeease make the 19 hour drive with them? I had no itention of doing that but finally gave in at the last minute. My SO was working the day we arrived and had no interest in coming home to meet his step dad's friend (my sister's new boyfriend and my SO stepdad grew up together). Anyway, my SO said that as he was driving to his friends place something told him to go home, he did and we hit it off immediately. Which was strange because neither of us were interested in long distance relationships :)
Anyway, we both feel that this was a connection made by higher powers and I have been fascinated with spirituality for a very long time. I have seen psychics, and meditation therapists (although I have yet to be hypnotised). What I'd like to know is how you met your spirit guides? Is it frightening? What fasicnates me, frightens me as well. I am full of contradictions :)
I am so happy to have found this site!!
