How do you know your God/s are with you?

How DO we know our God/s, or our Guides/Angels, are with us? Is it a physical sense? A kind of "intuitive sensing?" Do you believe your deity is with you at all times, not just the tough times, but the good times, the fun times, too? Does daily prayer/meditation/solitude time help you feel this connection? Is feeling this connection comforting, empowering? Is it difficult to feel or sense? Do you feel you have to "set up a meeting" so to speak, with a special prayer or divination or meditation, or can you just connect at any time?

I thought it might be an interesting topic to share/discuss. :P

Comforting is a good word, that's exactly how it is. :) I don't see him everyday but I do talk to him and display his pictures throughout my home. He's still with us, I like that feeling.

A fish one day asked an older fish.. "Where is the ocean?" the older fish said "Its all around and in you" . Thats how God is.. YOu want to see a form... you only see a fingertip of God.. Look at this universe and in the mirror..Listen to your own breathing. That is God.. All around you.. and all in you.. "the kingdom of God is in you" We and all you see is in the image' or conscious expression of God.. Things you cant see like ultraviolet light or atoms..they exist too even if you cant see them.. A reflection of the rock that was tossed in a pool is the ripple it makes.. Cant find God.?? stop looking.. :}

prayer is our aligning to God.. tapping into the energy of the Eternal source
getting on the inside with yourself. and listening to what the Eternal has to say.

Its Luke 11:2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, OUR Father/Mother which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth." Notice its not YOUR God or MY God but OUR God..None own God. I myself dont really worship Gods or Goddess's..being they are ancient pagan in origin.O offence to any pagan and about myth. There is to me however a Spirit of creation however that is indwelling and part of each of us. Jesus said that we too were gods. but God means "love" and divinity is just our spirit selves..Energy selves.. that became matter. A drop of water doesnt worship the ocean.. nor does the ocean worship the earth. Worship as in respect 'yes" honor.. 'yes' but one over the other.. no way.
We are god..goddess's if you want to talk to a higher conscious being you can talk"pray" to your ancestors or just visualize the river of consciousness of Spirit that flows in you. No needing to bow down roll in the floor begging for forgiveness. Just be love.. be compassionate.. be good. :} John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

I have read all your posts and get a sense that you are a blend of varied belief systems, with christianity firmly at the base.

No problem. I believe All Gods are One God and One God is All Gods. We come to the Supreme All from many different paths and religions and traditions. We all have pieces of the truth we learn in any given lifetime. It's all good. :)

By the way, welcome to the board! :))

Well like most folks we all question why we are here and were we come from. I never really got interested as I have now untill after my dad passed away and I watched an online video of a man beheaded" which extremely disturbed me. " I want to know if this life means anything so I began studying religions. What if feel is that if something is true it has to be true for everyone not a select few. I see people have different cultures,, different languages , different religions.. but seems as the deep things they have in common is a belief in something more then themselves. Higher mind,, God,, cosmic consciousness.many ideas. I go from thinking all is just a chance then I see how the world is so interconnected and doesnt seem like all could happen by chance. Something has to design it in some way for it to ever work. I grew up going to christian churches occasionally and at that time I didnt realize that christians were actually worshipping Jesus then they did God. I thought all the time they were saying "Jesus your great cause you show us the way to God" then later on I seen it was like as "long as you in my church you are ok.. otherwise God dont love you cause your in another religion" That didnt make sense to me for the Jesus I met as a kid loved everyone. As children we are being programmed very deeply in a tradition. To me I couldnt shake the feeling that Jesus did exist and that he pointed to a way back to Spirit. I studied Hinduism and I found him there. I studied Buddhism and found him there too. No matter what I did I always had Jesus along with me. I found the unity church and saw they too found the same thing I did. Common roots that all is interconnect.. WE have one source. which has many faces,, names ideas. actually . Nobody really knows but we can have hope that so far what you see is a reflection of something very creative. So basically I live life simply . follow simple things like compassion and loving. Try not to leave this earth owing anyone and hopefully not make enemies. But thats how life is. I hope this made sense cause I just got over some teeth surgery and the meds are still making me a bit whoozy..LOL
ONly thing I do however wish I had was a local church to attend. I want fellowship with people I dont have to argue with or at least maybe can talk on the same level as I do. I mean its good to look at other views too but its also tiring when some people say you are decieved and bound for hell.. Believe me I have been to hell allready. Not really a bad place cause its on the way to heaven but I wouldnt want to live there.
